Our People Love It

Versiones: #1#2#3
Stas Mikhailov, Jeanne Friske 1
And large concrete obelisks
Two sausages on top of semolina porridge
Our people love it
They make the ceilings hang low
Like silicone tits
And our Lada's are on aluminum wheels
Our people love it
Our people love it
Sure everything is shit
Sure it's a bunch of shit
Our people love it
Our people love it
Sure everything is shit
Sure it's a bunch of shit
Our people love it
If you like Rock, you'll love the Russian style
We put a fuck-ton of rhinestones on our blouses 2
Our people love it
TV shows about bandits
And like that, we are collecting credits
Music is a hundred-and-forty bits
Our people love it
Songs come from Magadan3
And a TV lying by the sofa
We eat our bananas with vodka 4
Our people love it
Baltika 9 beer
And we're digging a garden in our front lawn
And we fly to Turkey to fuck around
Our people love it
  • 1. Stas is a famous Russian/Soviet singer/song writer and Jeanne Friske is a famous Russian actress

  • 3. An city in the Russian Federation
  • 4. This is Leningrad...so it could be innuendo

Vlad, "Любит наш народ..." means "our people love" "it" - народ любит обелиски, сосиски, etc.
Your translation tells completely different story 😏🙃

#3 It's Magadan, not Magadana

And I am not very good on car stuff, but I am pretty sure that "литые диски" are not "aluminum wheels". [@pinchus]?

Alloy wheels is a "politically correct" term. However, very often they are called "aluminum wheels", especially in a conversational speech.

Дико извиняюсь за свою необразованность. Всю жизнь думала, что на колёсах езжу, а оказывается - на дисках. 🤣
At least I would know now to tell guys at the tire station to change the rubber, don't touch aluminum 😂

Foot note #3 - Magadan is not an island. It's a city.
Missed translation for "И чтобы вход в Метро был узкий".
The title should be "Our people love", not "We love our people" (Igeethecat already pointed that out, but I got an impression that she was talking about text, which probably already got corrected, not the title).
