Eurovision Song-Along
- No matter how hard I try:
The opening lines come from Cher's single "Believe". The song is not related to Eurovision in any way.
- And I feel, and I feel like I just got home:
The lines that follow come from Madonna's song "Ray of Light". The song is again completely unrelated to the contest, although Madonna did take part to the 2019 edition, performing as interval act during the final.
- Waterloo, I was defeated, you won the war:
"Waterloo" was the song that band ABBA brought to ESC 1974 to represent Sweden. The song gained Sweden its first victory in the contest, began ABBA's path to worldwide fame and became one of the most successful entries of all time in the history of the contest. By winning again the 50th anniversary celebration edition of the contest in 2005, the song was crowned best song in the competition's history.
- Ne partez pas sans moi:
Céline Dion gained much of her popularity after winning ESC 1988 competing for Switzerland with the entry "Ne partez pas sans moi". The song is still nowadays one of the most successful entries launched by the contest.
- Tonight's gonna be a good night:
From Black Eyed Peas' popular song "I gotta feeling". The song has no relation with the contest.
