Olaf's Frozen Adventure (OST) - Mikä joulun tunnelman luo? [That Time of Year] (traducción al Inglés)

Mikä joulun tunnelman luo? [That Time of Year]

[Olaf:]
Hyvää sekä hauskaa jouluu toivotan mä vain
Mä kuljen jouluperinteitä näin kartottain
Rauhaa sekä rakkautta tullessansa tuo,
Mikä joulun perinteistä tunnelman luo?

[Kyläläiset:]
No havuilla me koristamme joka oven liepeen
Leivon ison piparin mä muotoon Norjan niemen
Oven taakse ilmaantua voi tää kuoro hilpee

[Olaf:]
Jättisukat ripustatte avotakan pieleen
Tosi turvallista!

Siis hyvää sekä hauskaa jouluu tullessansa tuo
Nämä joulun perinteet ne tunnelman luo
Parasta panna vauhtia, jos aiomme kiertää jokaisen talon!

Hyvää sekä hauskaa on tää perinteiden vuo,
Kun kysyn, että mikä teillä tunnelman luo
Hei, shalom, talvenseisaus, Luciakin tykkäis,
Jos tietäis mitä perinnettä täällä lykkäis

[Kyläläiset:]
Katsos, koristeita näitä et voi saada sä maista
Mutta joulukakkuani täytyy sun nyt maistaa

[Olaf:]
Se meni suoraan läpi

[Kyläläiset:]
Lahjat nää me piilotamme hyvin ovelasti

[Olaf:]
Kunnes yksi paksukainen ehtii piippuun asti
Rikos: murto, armahdetaan jouluna

Hyvää sekä hauskaa aikaa joulun toivotan
Ja kiitos, että perinteenne tuntea saan
Kiitos!

[Kyläläiset:]
Huivit koko perheelle voi kätevästi neuloo
Villapaidat mirreille voi samaan syssyyn neuloo
Kynttilöitä kahdeksan me myöskin sytytämme

[Olaf:]
Te iskette puun nurin ja sitten koristelette sen raadon kynttilöillä...
Aivan ihanaa!

Anna ja Elsa, ihan kaiken he saa,
Kun täytän reen tään
Ratsu mua avustaa
Näin mä heille tunnelman luon

[Kyläläiset:]
On homma sun!

[Olaf:]
Homma mun!

[Kyläläiset:]
Homma – (miu)

[Olaf:]

What creates the atmosphere of Christmas?

[Olaf:]
I wish you a happy and fun Christmas
I wander as I take Christmas traditions with me
It brings peace and love by coming
Which one of the Christmas traditions creates the atmosphere?

[Villagers:]
Well, we decorate every doorpost with sprigs
I bake a big gingerbread to the shape of Norway
This happy choir may be behind the door

[Olaf:]
You hang huge socks to the jamb of fireplace
Really safe!

So it brings happy and fun Christmas by coming
These Christmas traditions create the atmosphere
We better hurry if we want to go to every house!

This flow of traditions is happy and fun
Now I ask what creates the atmosphere at you
Hey, shalom, solstice, even Lucia would like
If she'd know what traditions she's causing here

[Villagers:]
You see, you can't eat these decorations
But you have to taste my fruitcake

[Olaf:]
That went through fast

[Villagers:]
We hide the presents really wryly

[Olaf:]
Until this one fat guy arrives to the chimney
Crime: burglary, is pardoned on Christmas

I wish you happy and fun Christmas times
And thanks for letting me know your traditions
Thank you!

[Villagers:]
We can knit scarves to the whole family
I can knit jumpers to the kitties at the same time
We also light eight candles

[Olaf:]
You cut down a tree and then decorate it's carcass with candles
Just lovely!

Anna and Elsa will get everything
When I fill this sleigh
The knight's helping me
This is how I create the atmosphere to them

[Villagers:]
You can do this!

[Olaf:]
I can do this!

[Villagers:]
You can- (mew)

[Olaf:]
Merry Christmas to us all, happy fun thingy
The Santa's coming soon and that reindeer's running
And it brightens the feeling of Christmas and
Can I leave this cake here?
It creates the atmosphere!

Hi, this looks like a good translation overall. However, I noticed some smaller things you might want to correct:

- "I bake a big gingerbread to the shape of Norway" --> "...in the shape..."

- "Now I ask what creates the atmosphere at you" --> it's actually "kun" in the beginning of the line, so "when" instead of "now". And about the ending, would "at your place" or something like that be better?
- "If she'd know what traditions she's causing here" --> just a grammar thing, there's "Lucia would like" in the previous line, so in this line it should continue "if she knew what..."
- "You see, you can't eat these decorations" --> if I'm not mistaken, the original line is about how you can't get these decorations on land (the person who sings that is probably a fisherman or something like that, I haven't seen that part though)

- "We can knit scarves to the whole family" --> "...for the whole family"
- "I can knit jumpers to the kitties at the same time" --> "...for the kitties"
- "You cut down a tree and then decorate it's carcass with candles" --> "its" and not "it's"

- "The knight's helping me" --> a better translation for "ratsu" would be "steed"
- "This is how I create the atmosphere to them" --> "...for them"
- "Merry Christmas to us all, happy fun thingy" --> "mele kaliki" is, I guess, a short version of how you say Merry Christmas in Hawaiian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mele_Kalikimaka
