Actually, I didn't know how to translate into English the idiom 'fogo de palha' (portuguese), I searched for it and I found 'flash in the pan', its meaning is pretty close to the meaning of 'fogo de palha'. According to the explanation, 'flash in the pan' usually expresses something temporal, like in the example given by the TheFreeDictionary: "I'm afraid that my success as a painter was just a flash in the pan."

To tell the truth I didn't exactly know what it meant, but I got the meaning through the commonly used expression 'tem um Q de verdade nisso', which is said when there is a slight truth behind the person's statement, but there is not 100% certainty that is true.
So... the best translation was that, I hope the translation is understandable?

Verse 3, line 1: 'it's neither a legend, nor merely/only an infatuation/ nor a mere infactuation' - 'neither...nor' is a set construction
Verse 3, line 2: 'neither a flash in the pan (what does this mean?) nor a summer rain'
Also what does 'tem um 'q' de eternidade' mean literally, just curious :)
Verse 3, line 6: '...has no 'the end'/ doesn't have a 'the end'
