Hi Pampam, I think the right translation should refer to "Salvador", however you are not totally wrong since the song plays with a double meaning. Salvador is a name that comes from the Christian/Catholic reference to "Savior". The song, in my opinion plays, with the double meaning of the word, as a name and as Savior. Savior in the sense that Salvador is the Savior of "Western Progress". Salvador is clearly an engineer. So the engineering firm, Pemex (oil firm) and ICA (construction firm) is calling Salvador to fullfill his role as "Savior" agent of Modernity, as an agent of civilization. Modernity neglects both ecologists and indigenists worldview. The song criticizes engineering bringing "modernity" as the continuity of the "civilizing" mission, which in turn is a continuity of the evangelist mission that Europeans imposed to indigenous people in Mexico. Salvador is fed up of this mission and he quits his role as agent of modernity, breaking in this way the cycle of progress/civilization/evangelisation. The song is a dialogue between Salvador and his employers, as they try persuade him of fulfilling his role of "Saviour".
