Amor Para Llevar

El recuerdo de tu olor
Un adiós desde el balcón
Te prometo pronto volveré (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Lo que siento yo por ti
No sé como describir
Cada noche yo te pensaré, yeh

Antes de partir te quiero decir
Te necesito cerca, no me quiero ir
Mira, te tengo que pedir

Una de amor para llevar
Porque me voy de viaje
Y no quiero olvidarte
Una dе amor para llevar
Con un extra de bеsos
Pa' que no estés tan lejos
Para llevar

Al vacío por favor
Que no pierda tu sabor
Por si me entra algún atracón
Aunque tú no estés aquí
Siempre te puedo sentir
Porque sigo conecta'o a ti (Oh-oh)

Antes de partir te quiero decir
Te necesito cerca, no me quiero ir
Mira, te tengo que pedir

Una de amor para llevar
Porque me voy de viaje
Y no quiero olvidarte

¿Cómo no te voy a pedir?

Una de amor para llevar
Porque me voy de viaje
Y no quiero olvidarte (Camarero, wuh)
Una de amor para llevar
Con un extra de besos
Pa' que no estés tan lejos (Para llevar)
Una de amor para llevar
Hasta que vuelva a verte
Solo quiero tenerte
Para llevar

Love To Go

The memory of your smell
A "goodbye" from the balcony
I promise you that I'll return soon (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
What I feel for you
I don't know how to describe it
Every night I'll think of you, yeah

Before leaving I want to tell you
That I need you near, I don't want to go
Listen, I have to ask for

A love to go
Because I'm going on a trip
And I don't want to forget you
A love to go
With extra kisses
For you to not be that far
To take away

Please, in the emptiness
I don't want your flavor to be lost
In case I binge
Even though you're not here
I can always feel you
Because I keep being connected to you

Before leaving I want to tell you
That I need you near, I don't want to go
Listen, I have to ask for

A love to go
Because I'm going on a trip
And I don't want to forget you
A love to go
With extra kisses
For you to not be that far
To take away

Because I jump from the border with you, ey-ey-ey-yeah
I'll take you with me wherever you want, ey-ey-ey-yeah
As an appetizer, a movement of the hip, eh
Because with that little face, with that little face
How can I not ask you?

A love to go
Because I'm going on a trip
And I don't want to forget you (waiter, woo)
A love to go
With extra kisses
For you to not be that far (to take away)
A love to go
Until I see you again
I only want to have you
To take away

تشکر!

Looking at the translation, I think these might be some fitting changes:

  • It seems like the theme here is supposed to play on ordering food, so while "para llevar" can mean "to take away", a more idiomatic translation here would be "to go".
  • In the same vein, "Una de amor" would be better translated as "A serving of love" (even though "a serving" isn't stated, it's implied). You could also just say, "A love, to go"
  • "Con un extra de besos" would then be "With extra kisses".
  • Not quite related to the previous suggestions, but "Que no pierda tu sabor" would sound a more natural as "Don't lose your flavor". "May your flavor not be lost" sounds a bit too formal/archaic.

Hope that helps!

I had had a hard time translating "para llevar", I'm busted Regular smile He is basically "taking it with him" but since he doesn't say "conmigo" I couldn't go with it. I think you might be right, there's an implication of delivery with "llevar" and "con extra", let's keep it that way. (Now I see better why he yells "camarero", omg haha)

As to the wishes, I always stumble upon them since in English it's a bit different than Spanish and Turkish. Let's write "I don't want your flavor to be lost", what do you think?

I still think "to go" would be a better translation for "para llevar" here. "To go" is the English phrase used for ordering food at a restaurant that's not going to be eaten there. In the context of the song, he's "ordering" love to go, since he can't stay and "eat" it, but he still wants it with him later.
