А чтобы get electrocuted, do you need to touch a live (kinda) chain? Like + and - connected? Or just + or - will do?

Electrocution is caused by a strong electric current (measured in Amperes). To create a current a circuit between points with different voltage potentials (not necessarily just between + and -) must be closed. Human body is a low resistance conductor, therefore it creates a circuit between a live wire and ground. So, unless you hang in the air when touching live wires or wear insulating shoes, you will be electrocuted by high voltage.
