I'd like to give you some piece of improvement or correction.
'этот шепот'= THAT/ THIS ; "Кто я?" =WHO am I?
"only THE sea alone knows ( without 'it is' - sounds better) ; but THE sea attracts me again, "как будто ..." as if I WERE/WAS (conjonctiv !) its wave".
"ТАМ меня ждет" waiting THERE for me (for so long).
"Течет жизни. .." = Life is falling/ pouring/ streaming down onto the island - "течеть" is also used with rain falling. And then better: "bringing joy to the people", as доставляя is gerundium.
"И может мне пойдет моя"= and maybe mine will suit/ fit me.. OR 'mine will come to me/ find me . I really think that in this last verse, it is NOT a question of liking than rather of having to accept one's role and so of hoping that it will suit.
"Каждый знает в чем его доля: 'доля' may also mean: his share (like duty)/ his part .... but this is given to your way of interpretating the text.
"солнечный путь" = I see a SUNNY path on cristal waves; "открыть тайны" = to REVEAL his secrets !
But all in all you've done a really good work on your english translation.
Me personally, I tend to personify the ocean -by refering to it with he/ him/ his .... instead of it!?!
Me- I would prefer talking about 'him' as a person, as he is so strong that he is able to lead, to call , to attract , to promise and been argued with.
If you decide to do so, then replace all the "it"s by 'he'....
