Alright, here are some of the suggestions that I have. I will add another comment for the ones that I figure out later :).

It's the summer I'm thinking of -> I'm not really sure what he means by this, but I would translate it as: 'C'est l'été dont je pense" like he is talking about a particular summer

It's just that I'm always falling -> Something about him never being enough like "falling short." This phrase of falling appears a lot in rock songs for some reason and I can never fully explain what it means. Something about "losing faith in what you thought was guaranteed / you could do."

And it makes me feel bad -> It makes him feel bad that he is always failing at reaching other people's expectations

-> I think that all of that means that he likes how things are now (with a girlfriend, his life, or something else) that if something/somebody else came along, he wouldn't care or worry because he likes the things/people that he has right now

Said I love the way that you smile, don't -> I'm not really sure what the 'don't' means in this phrase, but I could only assume that it would mean something like "don't disagree" or "don't stop doing it" because he says after that it makes him want to watch her, so he doesn't want her to hide her smile.

This is my best bet of what the song is about. It's kind of all over the place, but if anything else doesn't make sense, I could try and decipher it for you :).

Right, so "falling" has nothing to do with "falling for someone" ? more like "I feel inadequate" or something like that ?
What about the Urban Dictionary definition for "falling" then ? Just another possible meaning ? not applicable there ? rubbish ? Regular smile

don't -> I trust you on this, but that still contradicts what I understand of the effect of "don't" at the end of a sentence.

Yes, at least as far as I can tell in this context.
The Urban Dictionary definitions are the acts of 'falling in love", "coming down from a high", or "being on your period". None of those apply here. The only definition that I've ever heard somebody use is the first one. The second one I've never heard, and the third one is really old so nobody uses it anymore

I don't think I understand the effect of don't at the end of a sentence. Could you explain it to me?

Now that the transcription makes sense, what about "falling" simply meaning he still loves her? (he won't believe she'll be sleeping forever, he still loves her and that makes him feel bad)
Like a modern version of I am stretched on your grave or something ?

I think that it definitely could mean that. I don't see any other meaning of falling that would fit this song better; Especially due to how he feels bad about it, like he can't stop himself from still loving her.

That "don't" on the end of the lines...
If you listen closely it's a different voice singing "I don't know"

i.e. the negation of a previous action ("don't do what I just said" or something)

Now that this "don't" is out of the way, it becomes an academic question though.

I always wonder how garbage like this wrong transcription can so easily spread planetwide. One idiot with enough nerve to publish a piece of rubbish and next thing you know the nonsense has been copied a million times over all across the Net to sell ring tones to clueless kids who apparently holler out for more.
