You're being harsh against France but not against the francs and the church. Some things are better left unsaid since the past can't be undone, now's the time to remember without looking back but looking ahead to save what remains to be saved.

anyhow, francs, church, all that belongs to the past, that's why i was not interested in mentioning it.
the linguistic genocide against the occitan language (and against corsican, catalan, basque, breton, alsacian, etc.) remains more in force than ever, so i'm not looking back, i'm looking at (and listening to) martí, looking at the european charter for regional or minority languages, at their académie and at their eternal genocidal attitude.

even a premier ministre whose mother tongue is catalan (a language so close to occitan), manuel valls, is able to keep that nauseating attitude when visiting corsica:
