@Floppylou I have two questions for you:
1) Are you completely sure the Cree version is EXACTLY like the original English version?
2) Do you really have copyright of the original Englsh translation?

Hi Ngdawa. Thank you for you concern.
I trust this website as I talked (in the comments) with the main poster of this blog. He seems to be quite a authority for this language, and this website is widely known as a "speader" for Cree language.
Also, as I didn't make this translation and don't speak Cree -I'm just interested in various languages, I copied/pasted the lyrics and the translation, which is allowed is you add the source of the translation (where it comes from), which I did as you can see.
Nevertheless, if you speak Cree, feel free to add your own translation ;)

No need for that attitude. Is just that the translation is exactly like the original. Word by word. That's rarely seen, if ever. That's all.

As I told you, I'm not a Cree speaker, so can't really tell. I was not rude (But English isn't my native so I may sounded like it), just trying to explain the situation. ;)

That's what I explained in my comment : It's allowed to add a translation you didn't make yourself if you had the source of the translation.
I asked if the person was ok to add his translation on LT, he accepted, so I added the translation AND the source, AND leave a comment saying where the translation comes from… That's what I explained on my first comment you thought rude. I don't get the point of your question : I trust this website, I asked, I followed LT rules, I don't see where might be the mistake.

What I am saying is: This is ot a translation. It is the original lyrics.
Also you can't just add thus to a website and then say "I trust this website". Well, you are one who put it there. Right. ;)
