I've been searching for the meaning of "щелкать лицом" for a while.
This lead me to "щелкать глазами" which I don't understand either.

Apparently both expressions are common, but I couldn't find them in dictionaries, nor guess their meaning from context.
Care to enlighten me guys?

Thanks in advance.

These are definitely euphemisms for "щёлкать ебалом" ("щёлкать клювом" is another popular option, there is even a 'German proverb': "ин ден гроссен Фамилие нихт клацен зи клювом" which is an euphemistic interpretation of the rude "в большой семье ебалом не щёлкай".
The general meaning is: be attentive, don't miss your turn, and so on.
Эй, ты, не щёлкай! If you hear this in Russia, that means you are gaping your beak too much.

Thanks bro, that explains the strange silence of the dictionaries :)

В кругу друзей еблом не щёлкай!

Может «стрелять глазами» или «строить глазки»?

I agree with Brat: "щелкать лицом" is almost certainly a euphemism. But I can't be certain without some context. As for the phrase "щелкать глазами", I've never heard it in my life. Although I have to say that Russians are not that different from other people, therefore some fail to fully grasp the meanings of the words they are using (it's especially common among those who barely read or who aren't used to paying close attention to every word). Maybe it was someone who meant to say "хлопать глазами", I don't know. But I've never heard it before. Maybe it was an ad hoc expression. Can't say anything specific without some context.

I just found "щёлкать глазами" a couple of times while looking for the other one, maybe it's not very common.

I might have got a decent definition of "щёлкать клювом" here.
I guess "щёлкать ебалом" is too muddy to make it into well-behaved dictionaries?

Apparently the expression "counting crows" has a somewhat similar meaning :)

I couldn't find an English dictionary entry for any of those, but I suppose "spacing out" would be close?
What do you Russians think?

Not exactly. The phrase "щелкать клювом" is perfectly decent. To the best of my knowledge, it came before any of the obscene variations with the word "еб(а)ло". The phrase means that you've missed an opportunity to get something that could or wanted to have. If someone eats the cake while you're doing something else, you "прощелкал" the opportunity to have a piece of cake, and someone will probably tell you that you need to stop "щелкать клювом".
The phrase "считать ворон" means to be absent-minded or daydream. When your teacher tells you to stop counting crows, she wants you to stop looking out the window, daydreaming or thinking about unrelated matters. You're not missing an opportunity (as in the phrase above); you are simply distracted or lost in your thoughts.

I agree with Almitra, the original phrase is "щёлкать клювом" and it comes from the "love song" of capercaillie. at such a moment, the bird may let the hunter get too close.

Yes and no. Of course, I'm not a young man anymore, so I can't exactly know how kids talk to each other these days (even if you have kids, you have no idea how they talk to each other when no adult is around). Originally the phrase meant "to be so distracted that you miss something" (so "щелкать еб(а)лом" was the process and "прощелкать" was its result). That's the 'I disagree' part. On the other hand, all three meanings can be easily derived from the general meaning I mentioned. And even though the first meaning that person mentions does seem identical to that of the phrase "считать ворон", it's not. The latter is still closer in meaning to the word "daydream" (and is more closely connected with the situation when someone is looking outside the window or staring into the distance, without paying attention to what they're supposed to be doing, like their job or a class).

To be honest, I started this search in hope of translating at least the first line of this song, but I'm still not sure I get the idea...
I suppose the beginning of the line evokes the clicking of a camera, but what does this mysterious expression mean here?

Sometimes words are created just to stand out from the rest (To make the author stand out too)

https://lyricstranslate.com/ru/potap-and-nastia-kamenskih-chumachechaya-...
The authors of this song above came up with a new word - "Чумачечий" - hybrid of "чума" (in meaning "super-duper
") and "Сумасшедший." (crazy)
I remember how half of the listeners were disgusted by this new word. (it really sounds deliberately ridiculous)
But now this word is used everywhere =_=

That would make sense in the context of this song.
I would better leave that translation to Russians though, this seems too slippery for me.
