I wish I knew German so that I could translate this song into Romanian.
Anyway, thanks for translating it into English :)
Did you know that Vlad Dracul was actually the father of Vlad Ţepeş (Vlad the Impaler) who got to be known as the blood thirsty Dracula?
Although in Romanian „drac” means „devil” both Vlad Dracul and Vlad Ţepeş are seen by the Romanians as national heroes rather than some evil creatures as the rest of the world thinks about them. In Bucharest and other cities in Romania they even named the streets after them and I think it's very cool to live on The Vlad the Impaler Street. There's no Dracula Street though. :p

No problem and you're welcome.
And thank you for the enlightening info! I learned a couple new things today =)
That's right. I'm actually a vampire. My real name 's Bella :p
Well, TrampGuy, you clearly haven’t seen the film Twilight because Bella is a character from this film and she is human but she fells in love with a vampire who eventually transforms her into a vampire to save her life. Pretty predictable action if you ask me.
No, I'm not a Twilight fan, I only saw the first part because I tried to understand why were all the teenagers so obsessed with it. Needless to say that I didn't understand the reason of this Twilight mania but I think that's also probably because I'm not a teenager anymore so I lost interest in stories like that. I remember that in my teenage years I used to watch Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, the TVseries which I think are way better than the Twilight saga (no offense to all the Twilight fans reading this).
I watched it too just to see what was all the fuss about. I think that even if I were a teen, when watching it, I still would've thought of it as rubbish. Buffy was cool back in the day, but long since lost its charm. True Blood is one of my favorite shows nowadays.
Btw, where's that picture of yours from?
Yes, True Blood is a cool TV series.
About my picture, it’s just something that I found on the internet. Every now and then I get through a virtual identity crisis and change my picture, this is my fifth or my sixth one. My nick, licorna din vis means the unicorn in the dream and I like everything that has to do with fantasy, especially fairytales and so I chose this picture as my avatar because it’s the picture of a fairy and you can also see the moon and the stars which are associated with dreams. So the picture is somehow related with my nick. Oh, and it’s also blueish and blue is my favorite color. And I like unicorns because one of my favorite books is Peter Beagle’s The Last Unicorn, there’s also an animated film based on this novel.
Maybe we should start a new forum topic about how and why we chose our nicks and pictures. I think everybody’s got an interesting story about these things.
Haha...your'e right :) I often get curious as to why a certain pic was chosen - it usually means something about the person behind the user, just like I now see in your case :)
I must say I really like your choice there :)
If you're into fairies and that sort of fantasy than maybe you would like Omnia. They're all about paganism, nature and have kind of a magical vibe to their music. Here's one of their songs I uploaded not long ago https://lyricstranslate.com/en/omnia-introtine-bealtine-lyrics.html.
SilentRebel, sorry for all these messages which are not really about the song.
lol np. I don't mind. Least it's bringing in traffic to E Nomine :glasses:
Oh, I only meant that comments usually will show up on the Sites activity column, which would lead curious LT'ers to the song. But yes, I think the more comments made does increase the flow of traffic there. =)
hey I am new to this website but I think that the line "Ador amoris" should be "Ardor amoris" which would mean the flame of love and "Dolor amoris" would translate to "the pain of love" in both casses "amoris" is genetive. and the sentence "Damit wir unsere Übereinkunft besiegeln können." would translate to "so we can seal our agreement/deal". and lastly the words "Nachdem ich sie auf ihr Zimmer begleitet habe" should be one sentence which would make the 3 lines translate to :
"I hope your stay here will be pleasant.
after I escort you to your room,
I will subsequently be waiting for you in the great hall"
oh and Graf refers to Dracul not the blood so it should be on the second line

Thank you and apologies for the late reply.
I have made the correction for the Latin "ardor".
I do, however, have some complications with your suggestion of the fourth line, "Damit wir unsere Uebereinkunft besiegeln koennen."
Please bear in mind that I made this translation years ago, and so I don't fully recall everything that was running through my mind during the initial translation. But I believe the reason why I translated that line like so was because it didn't make sense literally. Like there was nothing in the lyrics that explains what the "deal/agreement" was about. I'll go ahead and add a footnote there with the literal details.
Concerning your last suggestion, I agree. I'll go ahead and make the change both in the source and in my translation. Thank you greatly :)
yes you are right thr letiral translation would not make much sense in the context of the song maybr it would have if there were some background information about their friendship.
in any case cheers.
