I've only seen Hero. I can't agree with it but very well done, intriguing. Not English language.

Great!

Hero is not a Tarantino movie, it's out off the topic.

Apologies to all, including the actual director, Zhang Yimou.

My ranking (only realized after typing it all that you only asked for the #1 choice ;) ):

1. Pulp Fiction - appeals both on an intellectual (excellently made, technically) and an emotional level. Jackson and Travolta are brilliant, and I love Bruce Willis, so the trifecta of top cast choices is the cherry on top.
2. Kill Bill - one of the rare movies where I deeply root for the (anti-)hero (after all it's always obvious he/she survives, so I usually don't), recently only Gravity had the same effect on me.
3. Jackie Brown - excellent atmosphere, and the first time I watched it, I kept waiting for a moment like the one in Pulp Fiction where Vincent Vega accidentally shoots the guy in the back seat. Although there isn't that much tension in the movie per se, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
4. Death Proof - just unabashed crazy fun, though little rewatch value, gets boring when you know the story

Everything else was just so-so. Even Reservoir Dogs had too little story after its interesting beginning.

Ok, l liked also Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained. But personally, l believe Kill Bill is his greatest masterpiece.

Kill Bill is a great movie, but Basterds wasn't all about a personal vendetta. They had a cause. The basterds were fighting for something bigger. That epic element and Christoph Waltz's amazing acting make Basterds my favorite Tarantino ever. Django is an entertaining movie, but I couldn't help thinking "Wouldn't be much easier to just buy Django's wife?"
