Hello,

I have noticed when someone thanks me, the system wrongly shows that action has happened 2 hours and 30 min earlier. Suppose that I have added a song. Only some seconds later a user thanks me for that addition, maybe because he has seen that at the site activity bar. The system wrongly says that he has thanked me 2 hours and 30 min earlier, but that is impossible, because I have added the song just a few seconds ago.

Here is a screenshot:

It's not that important, but maybe [@LT] wants to look into it and fix it.

Thanks!

Hi Razq,

This is a problem that has existed for a long time. While this seems to be an issue, it seems to be an issue with the main layout being set to UTC +0 timezone. It will perform an accurate count when the time zone is set to UTC +0 from the settings. I don't know how it really counts in other time zones because I tried a few of them but random seems to work. (For example, the shows 2 hours more in UTC +3 time zones, various problems such as 1 hour in some) I think this is the issue you want to draw attention to, actually a system made for "local time use" apparently does not work properly. I'm waiting for a correction or an explanation with you...

FOOTNOTE: "Friends Activity" and "Thanks" work separately when we set our time zone according to our region. For example, when I select the UTC +0 time format, it shows "Friends Activities" 3 hours ago. (I'm talking about showing a transaction made for 23.00 exactly at 20.00) To correct this, when we convert it to UTC +3 format, the problem that Razq said comes up, +2 hours are added to the time we thank... As I said, there is an illogicality. They work in the same time format on the system, but they work a bit strangely (randomly). It's like two systems that work independently of each other.

Yes, exactly.
I live in a country where my timezone is UTC +3:30 (LT strangely assumes that my country's timezone is UTC +4:30)
I think it's better to change my timezone to UTC, because LT does not show my local time correctly anyway.

Iranian time is really complicated IMHO. In Armenia, Azerbaijan UTC+04:00, in Turkmenistan - UTC+05:00
What does Google show?

It's not complicated. Iran used to have summer time (daylight saving time) until last year, but not anymore, so it's UTC+3:30 the entire year now.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia do not use their natural timezone. Their natural timezone is UTC+3, but they use UTC+4. They actually use DST (daylight saving time) for the entire year. That's why their time is "later" than Iran while they are located west of Iran.
Please see this:
Areas outside UTC+04:00 longitudes using UTC+04:00 time

It's 16:54 in Iran right now and that's what Google shows.
