Some Limit

Some Limit

In the morning my head feels heavy.
I sneak away, don’t want to wake you up.
Leave you time to sleep,
on your day off.
Instant coffee doesn’t help at all.
even after three cups, I’m still tired.

I take a shower,
brush my teeth,
no make-up.

Early morning at the market, already busy.
Old people waiting, will the bank
never open.
They are in a hurry.
I’m the last one to arrive at work–
I should switch to night shift.

I put on my work clothes.
Cheerful.
Too many of these days,
every cell inside me screaming

refrain:
If you hit me one more time, I’ll kill you,
and I’ll strike with something you have used to cut me.
I’ll stray from the path to heaven, to someplace dark, carried away
to where you don’t even need a name.

Everybody says they’ll arrange the tune.
it’s my own fault if I stay,
but I don’t know any more
who I’m afraid of.
I’m not a woman, I’m nothing at all—
a tortured animal in a cage.

refrain

Would you be good to me if I was nicer?
I take a shower with the lights on.
You’ll never yell anymore.

If you hit me one more time, I’ll kill you,
and I’ll strike with something you have used to cut me.
I’ll stray from the path to heaven, to someplace dark, carried away
to where you don’t even need a name.

But I love everything about him
I would sleep nearby him to forgive
He was beautiful

"Sulla (on) aikaa jäädä lepäämään" should be "You have time to rest (or sleep)"
vapaapäivä -> (It's your) day off
reipas -> not cheerful but "brisk"
"and I’ll strike with something you have used to cut me": "beat" rather than cut
"Everybody says they’ll arrange the tune." -> Everyone say in a pity voice
