To tell it to you with style(emphasis)
I don't want to go out to the Baron *

No, no, no, no.
I don't want to get fresh air
No, no, no, no.
I don't want to drink a glass.

Commentaires de l’auteur·e :

Translated as literally as possible.

Notes on translation:

-The Baron is a well-known nightclub in Paris.

-Je ne veux pas m'en passer. Litterally translates to: I don't want to pass myself of it. Passer is used in french in many contexts. For example... Je passe mon test demain translates to I am writing my test tomorrow.

-Aller mal corresponds to the English, to go badly in a personal sense. Mal can have a few meanings depending on context. I have interpreted the contexts accordingly.

-Trainer is slang for to hang out.

- dalle is a slang equivalent to pas du tout meaning nothing at all.

-I changed Barbara to Streisand. The French will say that they are listening to Barbara while Anglophones will reference her as Streisand.

-Peut-être il me reviendra is colloquial french for peut-être qu'il me reviendra (Note for French speakers).

-Drink a glass figuratively means 'have a drink'.
