Rebels

Everybody is hibernating,
All's way too quiet.
No one is willing to make changes
except on their profile.
So, let me just take your rules apart
and so all incidentally move your life.

Hands up!
This is a raid!
Hands up!
Rebels everywhere!
You tell me your heros have all died
but, please, what about the rebels of tomorrow?

I'm really only here
to rebel
to rebel
to rebel
I'm just only here
to rebel
to rebel
to rebel.

We are rebels rebels, yes
We are rebels rebels, yes
Life is an ocean
we move it to and fro,
but really tall waves
are only made by rebels!

Don't just conform,
better watch out!
Faster than one can see
everything takes its course.
Just now life was still so nice
then suddenly only a cog in the system!

Hands up!
This is a raid!
Hands up!
Rebels everywhere!
You say everything was better in the past
we weren't around yet then, just more tinsel!

I'm only here
to rebel
to rebel
to rebel
I'm really only here
to rebel
to rebel
to rebel.

We are rebels rebels, yes
We are rebels rebels, yes
Life is an ocean
we move it to and fro,
but really tall waves
are only made by rebels!

Live wild, stay young and* better** be rebellious!
Live wild, stay young and better be rebellious!
You better behave like a rebel x2
Live wild, stay young and better be rebellious!

Collective uprising
this troupe needs resistors
Demolition-imagining technicians
as if we were China crackers
Against the flow there are ways to Rome, too
Turn the water into waves, ha
It's time for rebellion!

We are rebels rebels, yes
We are rebels rebels, yes
Life is an ocean
we move it to and fro,
but really tall waves
are only made by rebels!

Live wild, stay young and better be rebellious!
Live wild, stay young and better be rebellious!
You better behave like a rebel x2
Live wild, stay young!

* There is an oversight in the German lyrics which say "bleib jung uns sei ...". That 'uns' (=us) should be 'und' (=and)
** Not entirely sure how to better translate "gefaelligst" which expresses strong command form as in "You better be rebellious!". Let me know.

Thanks for your translation, it is really helpful as I don't speak German, on the translation of "gefaelligst" as an native English speaker (from the UK), saying you better be rebellious, sounds quite passive aggressive. From what I can see from looking at reverso's context function, we don't have a translation into English. It is normally more inferred from context or shown with our tone of voice, if that makes sense?
Thanks again.

Thank you for your comment. I agree with you. The context or tone of voice is much more important in English. This gets to a major conflicts between Germans and others, in that in my experience, Germans spell it out, while in English it's merely implied, of which the German is not aware of, resulting in impressions of German ignorance or rudeness on the part of the English.
As far as the term is concerned: Since I am not a linguist I can only comment based on the 'feeling' of this expression: Adding 'gefaelligst' implies a duty of the object to the subject to comply, turning a request into a demand, and adds negative emotion such as anger or irritation at the object, which the subject believes the object ought to have been aware of. Example: Lass(e) mich allein! = Leave me alone! vs. Lass(e) mich gefaelligst allein! = You BETTER leave me alone! or You KNOW (that you're supposed) to leave me alone. Hope this helps. Let's contribute to better understanding!
