Țiganul și OZN (अंग्रेज़ी में अनुवाद)

Țiganul și OZN

Eu în șatră m-am născut
La marginea poianei,
Vagabond eram de mic
Ca și toți țiganii.
Dar să vezi că într-o zi,
De la fusta mamei,
M-au furat extratereștrii -
Țiganii! Țiganii! Țiganii
Și inoplaneteanii!
Echipajul marțian
M-a crescut cum a putut,
Și cu ei prin Univers
Multe drumuri am bătut.
Dar nu pot uita poiana
Din pădurea deasă,
Și acum mă-ntorc la oameni,
Mă întorc acasă.
[Refren: ...]
Poate chipul meu de om
S-a schimbat cu anii,
Dar în suflet am rămas
Ca și toți țiganii.
Vino-ncoace să-ți arăt, măi,
Cărtile pe față,
Multă dragoste și bani
Te așteaptă-n viață.
[Refren: ...]

The Gypsy and the UFO

In a tent, I was born
At the edge of the clearing
A vagabond since I was young
Just like all gypsies
But, one day
From my mothers skirt,
I was kindnapped by extraterestrials-
Gypsies Gypsies Gypsies
And Interplanetarians
The martian establishment
Raised me as best they could
And with them, throughout the universe,
Many trips I made
But I can't forget the clearing
From that dense forest
And now I'm returning to humanity
I'm returning home.
Maybe my man's face
Has changed with the years
But, in soul, I have remained
Just like all the gypsies
Come over here, buddy, so I can show you
the cards face up
Much love and money
Awaits you in life.

Did you also enjoy the music?

I promised myself I'd never get married unless I could afford for Zdob și Zdub to play at my wedding. Think I'll never marry Tongue smile But I love them. They're from Moldova.

You probably know Romanians don't like to be considered Gypsies, although there are always influences from one to the other, but I don't mind; just want to make it clear that they are Moldovans and play/sing rock with many ethnic (Romanian, Gypsy, Russian) and other musical genres "influences" (funk, rap, punk).
I assumed you had some kind of hardcore, we're not the "ombelico del mondo". I've just listened songs you linked above, they are nice, but "ours" are more charming to my ears Tongue smile
And I also listened to Gypsy Kings yesterday on TV5. I had forgotten about them. They were very popular here in the 90s.
