*This is probably the closest you'll come to a concept that didn't exist at the time this language was spoken. Next best choices might be "Lant dës diutisken folkes" as a wild guess, or, more likely, Latin "Germania"
**While I am rusty on written literature, I'm pretty sure OHG did not use this compound form of the past tense that modern German uses. But I'm more or less making a literal translation here.
***Again, this concept didn't exist back then as it does today, so it's just a literal translation
