She told me

संस्करण: #1#2#3
I think I don’t love you anymore
That’s what she told me yesterday
It rang out in the air
Like a gunshot

I think I don’t love you anymore
She threw that out yesterday
Between the cheese and the dessert
Like my body into the sea

I think that I don’t love you anymore
Your skin is like sandpaper
Under my fingers...under my fingers
I look at you and I cry
For no reason...Just like that

I cry for no reason
With great sobs I cry
Like in front of an onion I cry, Let’s stop there

Lalala, lalalalalala she told me
Lalala, lalalalalala she told me

I think I don’t love you anymore
Get up, get up
Don’t sob into my dress
Not this time, get up

You have no more scent
Your lips are the marble
Of the tomb of our love
She told me that, her blood was cold 1

When I make love with you
I think of him
When I make love with him
I no longer think of you

Lalala, lalalalalala she told me
Lalala, lalalalalala she told me

I think I don’t love you anymore
That’s what she told me yesterday
It exploded in the air
Like an old clap of thunder

I think I don’t love you anymore
I look at you and I see nothing
Your steps no longer leave footprints
Next to mine

I don’t blame you
I don’t blame you anymore
I just have no more fire
In my belly, that's how it is

Lalala…lalalalalala She told me
Lalala…lalalalalala She told me
Lalala…lalalalalala She told me
Lalala…lalalalalala She told me

So I turned off the telly
But I didn’t find the courage
To throw myself out of the window
I'm too old to die for love

Lalala…lalalalalala She told me
Lalala…lalalalalala She told me

Puts the two other attempts to shame. Not much to nitpick about there.

un vieux coup de tonnerre -> "vieux" was used all the time in the 80's as a general emphasis word, and is still now, though less often. Don't really know what you could put there, something like "bloody", "blasted", "darn" or "damned" maybe?

Au fond du ventre -> what about "in my gut"? The French is slightly unusual, but for some reason "guts" sounds more akin to the idea of "ventre" (animal strength, desire...) to me

Par la fenêtre de me jeter -> Brel would surely not have resorted to Yoda talk here Wink smile

Mourir d'amour n'est plus de mon âge -> I'd rather say "I'm too old to die of love" or maybe "I'm past the age of love-dying" or something.

It's been a few decades since I last watched TV, but this kid show is a pleasant surprise. The little weasel is a cutie :).
It reminds me of the cases of Inspecteur Ludo.
Pif Gadget was actually published by the Communists, but they took popular education very seriously and the content was a lot less mind-numbing than Disney's.

I watch it every week-end on TV. It's a nice level of French for me, I can probably understand about 80% of it.
J'ai un petit coup de couer pour Ermine aussi. ;-) There was a good joke when she got paint one her and he called her vert-mine...but I digress
It seems to be a curious mixture of Sherlock Holmes and Kung-Fu Panda.
And yes the 3 suspects thing seem rather like your Inspector Ludo - also looks a nice level of easy French. :-)

Very little survives from the Pif Gadget era (starting with the communist party!).
Only these deliciously educational cavemen stories are still remembered today.
This is actually quite good. The purposedly broken French is very fun, like in an old Tarzan movie, and the hints of communist propaganda (enlightenment through science, freeing gullible proto-proles exploited by priests and sorcerers, messages of universal fraternity and such) are quite amusing considering the way things turned since the 70's.
