I really like the orchestration of this song, not to mention the song itself, of course:

I'm using machine translation, Wiktionary and all the other online aids to understand it, but I've got particularly stuck on this line (there may be a few others – I've not got right through it yet):

ليه نبيع بالرخص ايام من دهب

From the information I get on the Internet, it could mean anything from their selling cheap holidays in Dahab to their exchanging gold rings in a wedding ceremony. Of course, the context of the song would differ greatly on what they are saying here. Anyone like to offer an interpretation.

I think it probably means something like “why do we cheapen (sell cheaply) the golden days” (أيام من الذهب) in the context of a couple and their shared memories (of a failing but formerly beautiful relationship).

Thanks for the reply KitKat1.

There's a couple of videos on YouTube where people have put movie clips to the song. They both tend to show a parting after intentions or thoughts to marry.

The first shows coast that I guess could be or represent that at Dahab, but there's also coast shown in the second.

There are also apartment scenes. Might it mean they sold off cheaply licences they'd bought on an apartment for after their marriage (illegal for them to use before)?

Could a mélange of meanings be intended?
