Waving

Waving this handkerchief of love
My live ended, alas if you would know of my conditions
No hand touched mine but yours
Didn't see or known other hands than yours

Gazing from the window, she is waving arrogantly
Whereas I'm in winter, oh, she is in prevailing summers
Her hair is combed, her lips are colored
If you don't take me, by jove, I'll suffer

Waving this handkerchief of love
My live ended, alas if you would know of my conditions
No hand touched mine but yours
Didn't see* or known other hands than yours

Infront of your house, I laid out the table of my love
Infront of your door, I laid the rose-patterned bundle of my mother*
If she would now, she would ground me, my fate would be stigmatized
If not by the hands of my mom, By jove, you will be the one who kills me

*I didn't know a better word for Bohca than bundle. But I presume, the write speaks here about a small part of the dawry, which is typically given to the groom or bride containing things like nightgowns, undergarments and a lot of handmade-stuff like embroidered towels etc. Usually, mothers start to prepare the content of such "bundles" when the daughter or son enters teenage years (until the day they marry).

Bohça means a bag prepared for journey. Baggage.
Eski Türkçe
Boğgu>bog (boğumlamak, düğümlemek kökeninden): Bag
Boğguça>boğça>bohça: Baggage

True, but in this case he speaks of "Gül-bohcasi" (bundle with rose-patterns?). Hence, I was not sure if he speaks about a bundle with supplies for a journey or of a "ceyiz-bohcasi", which indeed would be a part of the dowry. Ensuing from the context, it would make sense too.

I see. I think it says, “Gül bahçesi” in the song. Baqça >bahçe means a boccage, a garden in English.

There is was a little insecure too, so I did some researches. Some indeed say it's "gül bahcesi" some say it's "gül bohcasi". But in case its the first one, you wrote the translation already, so i guess it's ok. Thank you Regular smile
