Butter (Görög translation)
- Break it down:
“Break it down” is a nod to the line used by the pop star Bruno Mars in Mark Ronson’s all time hit song “Uptown Funk” as a homage to the 70’s funk tracks.
In an interview with Rolling Stone prior to the song release, “Butter” was called “a pure, swaggering dance-pop celebration in the retro vein of Bruno Mars, with layers of Jam and Lewis-style synths.”
- Don't need no Usher
To remind me you got it ...:
This line is a call back to renowned American singer and songwriter Usher’s 2001 R&B ballad song “U Got It Bad.”
"You got it bad when you’re out with someone But you keep on thinking ‘bout somebody else You got it bad"
The song, which is inspired by a real story, expresses Usher’s infatuation towards a woman, as he recounts his experience of slowly realizing that he is falling in love with her.
BTS uses said reference to confidently demonstrate how the person they are after is successfully falling for the group’s charm.
