yeah that sounds logical but as far as I know ...lol no...I like Phil's explanation...like I said I get confused lol OH he forgot 'New Age' too so many types of music it can get overwhelming wow.
That is a shame. They don't exist anymore. :( They all started splitting up into genres in the 80s. Sorry to say. The best you can do is watch music that you like from all genres on YouTube and make playlists. That's what most people do nowadays. You can also do that with music apps. But finding music you like across genres is hard. Find friends who like a certain genre and ask them what their favorite music is, then listen to it. If you like it, save it in a playlist. ;) That's my best advice to you now. Sorry.
Sorry 77. Bob Dylan is of the "Folk" music genre. He's also kind of in a genre all of his own, because no one before or after him really had his style. He's like a singing poet. Still revered here today. Johnny Cash was also a kind of singing poet, but Johnny Cash was indeed "Country". No doubt about that. Nashville claims Johnny Cash, so he's "Country". LOL.
As for Janice Joplin, I would say that she would be considered "Rock and Roll". That genre is no longer used, because it covered a lot of genres which we've split up now. So, we just use "Rock and Roll" for old artists like her, and Elvis Presley. As you can see, her music is NOTHING like Elvis' so, it's not really an accurate description of her genre. Genre? I guess I'd call her music "Folk Rock" by today's terminology. It's hard to put today's words on old "classic" artists. In fact, most radio stations that play Janice Joplin are of the "Classic Rock" genre. But, like I said, they play a lot of different genres of music, but they're all old "classic" songs.
Sorry if I confused you with my explanation. But, it's not an easy question. Can't put new terms on old songs and artists. We don't do that. We call them what they were called when they were popular. Janice was "Rock and roll", so was Elvis.
77 and Christina. LOL. I lived in Nevada, and live in New Mexico. As far as I can tell, the video was shot in Nevada (from the looks of it). I can guarantee you that her huge suitcase had an air-conditioning unit in it so that she wouldn't faint from the heat. I must say that when the video came out, it was strikingly beautiful. All the colors and such. Remember! That video was made BEFORE HDTV. It was one of the nicest videos I had ever seen at the time. As for wanting that dress. I think it would go good with what you're wearing in your photo Christina. As for the bike? What the hell. I see bikers drive all over Nevada and New Mexico. Seems stupid to me. Nothing but sunburn and pain coming their way. Rocks and gravel flying up from the roads. I think Shania looks great in the video. She was quite beautiful back then. But, if I was gonna take anything from the video. I'd take the truck. Leave the guy with Shania so they can share her air-conditioning purse. LOL.
One last thing. Why in the hell is that asshole wearing a black sheet in the middle of the desert. Heat stroke much? Yeah, he does. LOL. Feel sorry for that black horse having to ride through Nevada. I call it animal cruelty. :(
lol thanks for the interesting comments...yes I know right???? Oh and that's a comic book cover..it cut off some of it here...yeah they should have gotten a real Arab to play that part...Tarkan would have done better LOL and I was curious...I don't think that is an Arabian horse either...the heat wouldn't have bothered it so much...at my heart I am 'Cat Lady'...just sayin.
Cats say "Meyow" or "meow". It's not a real word so you can spell the sound anyway you want "mee-ow" etc.
Dogs say "woof"
Pigs go "oink"
etc. Animal sounds in English.
Horses go "Nayy"
Birds go "chirp" or "tweet"
Any other animal sound you need to know?
Bees go "buzz"
Uh, what am I forgetting?
If you're talking about the Shania song, yeah, it was late 80s or early 90s. Digital TV didn't switch over until 2009. And, even then most bought converters and watched digital TV on their old boxes. It took a long time for HD TV prices to come down so people started switching over.
that is just how we wright the sound in English.....search it on youtube maybe. https://youtu.be/ZQOYOuSWywA here ya go. wow I found another place to come when FB gets boring Yay.
I don't know. It's just what English speakers say the horse noise is. When a horse makes its noise, we say it said "nay". I have no idea why. I don't have a horse. Better question is why we say Pigs "oink". LOL
Are you British? Does "cat lady" mean nothing there? LOL.
Or are you unfamiliar with the term "cat lady"?
Well, at least everywhere I've ever been it means an old crazy woman who owns a thousand cats in a small apartment.
Sorry, that's why I was asking. LOL
