The fortunate ones remain in Malacca
They don't want to go to another land1
Around here, everyone is friends
When someone leaves, we soon miss them
Oh Malacca, land of Saint Francis
There's no other land I'd want
Oh Malacca, where there's always freshness
I want to be until I die
