I Work The Weekend szöveg
Long time, no party,
This job is killing me,
Got to get some time off.
She says "I'm sorry, sonny,
My boss is mean as can be."
Friday night, all my friends call and scream,
Or something like this,
All they got is my old answering machine.
Leave a message that [...]
They're sorry I left.
I work the weekend,
Don't get to dance,
Don't get to have no fun.
I work the weekend,
Dream of romance,
But I don't get me none.
My girl, she's so pretty
But she don't like to stay home
She says "there's hot fun in the big city
And I'm ready to rock n' roll."
She says "It's Saturday night,
I'll dress up to kill"
Or something like this
"If you don't treat me then somebody else will"
Me, I'm stuck in the saltmines again.
How could I when...
I work the weekend,
Don't get to dance,
Don't get to have no fun.
I work the weekend,
Dream of romance,
But I don't get me none.
I work the weekend,
Don't get to dance,
Don't get to have no fun.
I work the weekend,
Dream of romance,
But I don't get me none.
Hello, just some suggestions, it's fine to leave it if you disagree.
Add end quotation marks for after 'My boss is mean as can be'
Leave a message [...] = 'Leave a message that [...]' (Sorry, I still can't catch it, but I think there's a word after 'that' then two/to/too and another word)
[Sorry I...?] = 'They're sorry I left'
Add an end quotation marks to line 'And I'm ready to rock n' roll.'
Also I think all 3 locations with "But I don't get me none" are actually "But it won't get me none", referring to his dreaming of romance not actually getting him any real romance.
