Today there aren't real Gypsies anymore
Today there aren’t real Gypsies anymore,
Cause is there sense in wandering through the worlds?
Full pan and “Poemat” radio**
Instead of crying, which got out from lungs…
Old life went far away,
Today for winter warm shawl,
Only horses, only horses, only horses, only horses to regret.
Old life went far away,
Today dumplings, today ball,
Only horses, only horses, only horses, only horses to regret.
Today there aren’t real Gypsies anymore,
Four angles*** and windows from glass,
Exams and school and jitters,
And to march orchestra is playing for us…
Old life went far away,
Today for winter warm shawl,
Only horses, only horses, only horses, only horses to regret.
Old life went far away,
Today dumpling, today ball,
Only horses, only horses, only horses, only horses to regret.
Today there aren’t real Gypsises anymore,
And we don’t lack much to happiness,
This life brightened as stage,
Only a bird is strolling in shoes …
Old life went far away,
Today for winter warm shawl,
Only horses, only horses, only horses, only horses to regret.
Old life went far away,
Today dumpling, today ball,
Only horses, only horses, only horses, only horses to regret.
*I know that there is also word “Romani” in use, but Polish word “Cyganie” as more colloquial suggests using Gypsy.
** As I found out it’s – Poemat – specific name for radio (device) – literal meaning “poem”.
*** I don’t know if it’s in use in English – it’s just literal translation, and it’s synonym of home :- ).

These lyrics were for me very difficult to translate, but as I saw this lyrics aren’t translated for some time, I decided to put my version. Maybe someone would have better one.
