I mit eventyrland [In a World of My Own] (Angol translation)

Proofreading requested

I mit eventyrland [In a World of My Own]

Mus og katte
bor i samme små og pæne huse
og går klædt i sko og hat og bluse
i mit Eventyrland
står så pænt forventningsfuldt og tier
mens de bare venter på jeg siger
de skal synge om mit Eventyrland
Kvitte vitter
smutter lystigt rundt omkring og titter
tusindvis af søde små musvitter
bor i mit Eventyrland
Det kan være at den lille bæk
fortæller mig hvordan jeg drømme kan
jeg vil håbe den vil gøre det
så jeg kan komme til mit Drømmeland

In My Wonderland

Mice and cats
Live in small, neat houses
And are dressed in shoes, hats and blouses
In my wonderland
Flower girls1
Stand there expectantly and silent
Just waiting for me to say
They should sing about my wonderland
Even birds2
Fly around merrily and tweet
Thousands of cute young birds
Reside in my wonderland
It might be the small stream
Telling me how I can dream
I hope it does so
So I can get to my dreamland

I'm not entirely sure about some parts, especially the third verse. Corrections by a native speaker would do this translation good.
