Anything to do with my countries, Albania and the United States and anything involving my part of Europe, the Balkans. Also, politics, soccer, Eurovision, Eurobeat, 20th century US history, jazz music (mainly from the Roaring 20's!), Ronald Reagan movies/filmography, vintage things such as pop art comics, (20th century exclusive vintage; the colonial days, Guilded Age, etc. don't interest me as much as the '50s and '60s do.) the Kennedy brothers (the original bunch–Joe Jr., Jack, Bobby, and Ted), and anything else included in "About Me."
Just an Albanian-American girl with a love for soccer (World Cup, Euro Cup, etc.) languages, anime, manga, memes, politics, culture, the arts (photography, drawing, music, literature, etc.) marching and jazz band, traveling, Eurovision, cooking, and much more. Huge fan of Ivan Rakitić and Luka Modrić!
I'm from Northwestern Albania in origin, but am living in one of the Northeastern states in America, where I have for the majority of my life. I'm a natural-born citizen of America, but am registered as a citizen in both countries. I love both of them and support them fully and will do so till my death.
My native languages include Gheg Albanian and US English. The majority of my translations consist of these two, as I know them like the back of my hand.
My fluent languages include Tosk Albanian and UK English. I don't speak UK English regularly, but I understand the dialect differences between it and US English.
I don't speak Tosk regularly either. I'm more comfortable speaking Gheg than I am Tosk, as I'm used to Gheg pronunciation, which differs quite a lot from Tosk.
When translating, my translations are done in Tosk, or what is considered "Standard Albanian." (The Albanian that's taught in schools and used in everyday literature in Albania. It's kind of how High German is considered the standard, as it's taught in school, but besides that, there are dialects of it. The way some things are pronounced in Tosk aren't "standard", though…)
I am currently studying High German. I understand a lot of it, but I really want to push myself further till I can say that I am fluent or am comfortable speaking it in an orderly fashion. By this, I mean being able to talk to anyone in German about anything without having to make sure I'm pronouncing something correctly or if my word order is correct, etc. I have studied Russian a year ago by myself, but I can read and write in Cyrillic. I know Russian to the Latin alphabet quite well. I also know the Serbian Cyrillic well too. I have studied Spanish for a very long time, but I currently am not. I'm not really going back to it.Same with Italian. I did study Italian, but not anymore. I used to study Latin about two years before, but I've moved on. I really want to learn Croatian, though. I find it to be the most beautiful Slavic language there is and I would love to be able to speak it. I have a place in my heart for Croatia, as well as Germany. I love those two countries so much. Both of their cultures are fascinating to me. At the moment, I'm mainly focused on German. I'm learning from my school's curriculum, but because it's summer at the moment and school's out, I'm trying to teach myself Croatian.
I only accept one way of thanking me and that's by pressing the "Thanks!" button. I don't accept ratings as thanks, if you have no sort of experience in the language of the translation.
Please notify me if I have an error in any of my translations. I'll be ready and happy to fix it to make it perfect, but do not give me a low rating just for an error.
If you were/wanted to publish my translation anywhere outside of Lyricstranslate, credit must be given to me. (I'd prefer to be notified or asked first. That would be greatly appreciated.)
My translations can be used to make other translations, but credit must be given to me.
If I am not given credit for my work, I WILL take action, as I hold copyright to my own work.
Thank you for reading and happy translating!
