The innocent deemed guilty at birth

Condemned to pay for their sins

As though they were their very own

That they would suffer so

Longer than the most heinous of offenders

Made to feel shamed in every breath

Until their protracted death

No justice to be found

No advocate on their behalf

There's a very special place in hell

For them sentenced to hell on earth

In its daily grinding turmoil

Woe to those who cry mediocrity

A challenge to impose upon youth

In an assembly of lives

Arrayed in the vestiges of virtue

There's a very special place in hell

For those who bore the burden

Whose spirits tainted impure

Must forever haunt the corridors

Of unfortunate sorrows endure

And prays that might be said sad

Be answered promptly and secure
