traduzione in Inglese

Black Tuesday

In the early morning on June 6, drowsiness is suddenly awakened
[I] break out into a cold sweat because either reality or the dreamworld frightens me.
How could I sleep? [I]’m not able to sleep at all.Tossing and turning, my head’s killing me,
No conscience can be tormented, before being unconsciously delighted.

The dark hatred is like a plague,
People’s hearts only think of themselves,
[They] wrongly used courage and life; actually, for whom?
For whom, [in] destroying everything, could be indifferent?

Why, why,
Why use love to twist love?
Don’t be quiet, don’t walk away,
We stand and rise to fight.

Why, why
Why change so [one] cannot use love?
Don’t give up, still try
To seize back the world.

Commenti dell’autore:

昏昏沉沉 is usually used as an adjective; I translated it as drowsiness, making it a noun in the process. However, for the rest of the first verse, I translated it from the narrator's point of view, because it implies that they struggle about why the world is so crazy.
