I'll explain, Pierre. Here the way it goes in Adelaida's
And endless kindness flows from your heart like an ocean
There's an ocean in your heart (it raises questions - what ocean?)
Et la bonté coule pour toujours dans ton coeur
C'est au coeur de la mer,
The word "sea/ocean" doesn't fit in, does it? Then you'll have to have a closer look at it. It's a metaphor like a sea of blood, an ocean of pain, a pool of tears. What does it give us?
Lit: And kindness eternally flows in your heart and in your heart, there's an ocean of kindness (I think, Adelaida may add that ocean of kindness)
I just got it more generally not to repeat Adelaida.
And kindness eternally flows in your heart
And in your heart, it has no limits
And so on and so forth but very fast :)
This was my point exactly. GT is fine for word to word translation and nothing is wrong with using it wisely. It is just when we read “human” translation, we expect to see something the other ‘human’ can understand ;)
Yes, when one understands what to expect from GT, then with (full) rewrite it will be a good translation. At first I myself used GT as a basis for my translations from and to Bulgarian, but it was mostly to compensate the lack of vocabulary.
Nowadays GT tends to give comprehensible results (if the target is English), but otherwise very far off from the original (the original, by the way, is Czech):
The glazed wall of the machine was flowing through the silver curtains of the evening rain, several pedestrians walked down the square and held a hat or umbrella.
It is so out of this world's physics! :)
They might not look like professional, but they (most of them) are from the heart...
The glazed wall of the machine was flowing through the silver curtains of the evening rain = The glazed wall of the street cafe looked polished through the silver curtains of the evening rain The word flowing is not a verb, it's an adjective = sleek, polished, smooth. Sometimes GT is smarter than us. *devil_smile*
Во благо.
I have to disagree, Pierre: moderation here is best described as territorial, egotistical, and vengeful based on my experience (at least by some mods for sure - I won't name names), it is definitely not "live and let live" kind. Some atrocious, totally misleading translations by these mods never get corrected; also comments and suggestions to fix them get deleted (for offending the gods, no less!) all to the applause of their cheerful supporters. The integrity and quality are definitely not the traits encouraged here. Sad...
As you may have noticed, my activity on LT dropped to almost zero lately - partly as a reflection of sorry state of affairs here. Well, you can't fix the world and I stopped trying long ago (that includes making sense to adepts of certain branches of physics).
Lyricstranslate isa website for us to help others, have fun and gain experience. If anyone doesn't agree to that idea then they're free to leave. Every website needs moderation not to be messed up and we treat our users very kindly compared to other websites. People here have fun ans if any of you doesn't like our community, then there's nothing we can do. This is enough, comments closed.

Translated through GT (Armenian - English, French, Spanish, Russian)
This translation is no joke though some ardent users try to make it look otherwise. It was made on the basis and techniques of Structural linguistics in which I have a degree. Structural linguistics makes it possible to decipher, understand and if needed translate any text in any language irrespective of whether a linguist has any knowledge of it or not. GT is just a tool that facilitates this process and makes it more enjoyable. In case you're interested
