Air am I (S)

Versioni: #1#2#3#4
An idea, a continental land or quick glance
Of their own accord
Springs to mind and clouds over, doesn't end up
Of their own accord

And nothing’s left
And nothing’s left
But touch you and kiss in my thoughts
There’s been, will be
Nothing, there's nothing
But fly off and keep flying on

Air am I upflowing
The wind, I’m not, the wind, the wind I’m not
Without you, I’m no one...
If there’s no you, there’s no, no me at all...

An escape, an SOS, or a stopover
Of their own accord
And mistrust which into feelings was transforming
Of their own accord

And nothing’s left
And nothing’s left
So nice is to fall to your feet
There’s been, will be
Nothing, there's nothing
So whose is this sky meant to be?

Air am I upflowing
The wind, I’m not, the wind, the wind I’m not
Without you, I’m no one...
If there’s no you, there’s no, no me at all...

And nothing’s left
And nothing’s left
So nice is to fall to your feet
There’s been, will be
Nothing, there's nothing
So whose is this sky meant to be?

Air am I upflowing
The wind, I’m not, the wind, the wind I’m not
Without you, I’m no one...
If there’s no you, there’s no, no me at all...(X2)

There’s no, no me at all...

Commenti dell’autore:

The singer associates with the air that goes up (in life), not the wind that moves from one place to another.

I need a moment. Wow. The sheer beauty of this just blows me away, my friend. There is nothing else that I can say. I won't star this because stars aren't for what is sublime.

Ketu, I wanted to point out one thing and hear your opinion. Una parada - a stop, station and the like. But I couldn't think of any logical string or what kind of stop or station it might be. From the very beginning, I had a feeling the word was used in its Latinamerican meaning of an outburst of pride or vanity, showing off etc. Besides, Miguel grew up in Panama and the word is mostly used in Central America in that sense. And yet I'm not sure. What do you think? Regular smile

Nadia, I have had to come back to earth after being truly mesmerized by what you have accomplished here.

Well, I believe it is an actual stop, of a physical sort, and not a slang word. Logically I'd string it up to the other tangible words that accompany it: "fleeing," "S.O.S.," a stop.
Because the journey is figurative, it could be anywhere. I believe it to be a concrete halt, of his own movement. I don't think it's used in another way. Yes, he was born in Panama, but I believe he grew up in Spain, and he has citizenship in about three countries or so (not sure about Italy; I do not recall having read otherwise). He had been living in Panama now this decade, but recently moved to Mexico City permanently. I guess many Spanish artists who are popular here do come over because in Spain they're just fodder for ¡Hola! and that's a hassle.

El señor es notoriamente quisquilloso, aunque todos los grandes se merecen su poquito de tolerancia, claro está.

I love him as an artist, but if I were to interview him, he'd shoot down my first question hard, with a lot of intensity.
Teeth smile But then mellows out.

OK, I really had doubts about that. I'll think of something in that line then. Thank you, dear Ketu. I'll heed your advice. Regular smile

Done. Found something to rhyme with "Transforming". Regular smile

Thank you , dear Nadia. It has been fascinating to see your version of it.
I'm so happy; to me, it renders the song almost new again, so piercing is your ability to
get to the root of meaning.

Air am I, dear, the wind I'm not. Kidding. Thank you for the idea, Ketu, I've enjoyed it enormously, the song goes straight into my car playlist. Wink smile

Hehehe! Teeth smile
I am so glad that you could get something in return, too, my friend.
Much gratitude and appreciation for all you do.
