Little Tereza

The first one came like someone
who's just come from the florist's
he brought me a cuddly toy,
brought me a brooch of amethyst
and told me all about his journeys
and the advantages he would bring
he showed me his watch and called me queen
he disarmed me so much and he touched my heart
he woulnd't deny me anything
alarmed at his way of being I said no

The second one came like someone
who's come straight from a pub
he brought a litre of brandy that was so bitter to gulp
he questioned me about my past, sniffed at my food
he rifled through my drawers and called me lost
he disarmed me so much and he scratched my heart
he wouldn't give me anything
alarmed at his way of being I said no

The third one came like someone who appeared from nowhere
he didn't bring anything and asked nothing
I hardly know what's his name but I see what he wants
He lay down on my bed and calls me his wife
It happened so unexpectedly and before I could say no
he installed himself as a possesor would right into my heart
