My ashes will survive. And decay will escape. Otherwise it sounds like questions.
I will never die in full?

Mitty, translators are around here to make their contribution to the world cultural exchange, not to challenge anyone. That's the wrong message you're sending. I'm sorry but I haven't read your translation. I didn't get farther than the title. Seriously, what does it mean if translated into Russian? I'll translate. No man-made monument I wrought in my name. Я себе не воздвигал никакого нерукотворного памятника. Is it a joke?
You should concentrate on Pushkin, not me :)
Why are you shouting on my page and insult me? Did I call you here? You asked for my opinion about your translation and said that was a challenge on your part. OK, I'll tip you off. Not a man-made monument did I make in my name (wrought is a good find but the word order you've chosen calls for inversion.) You don't know the difference between "no" and "not". Ask your wife. I'm not here to teach grammar. My academic year starts in a fortnight. Give me leave awhile unless you have questions or suggestions to my translation. Sorry. Over and out.
Hi, J-Rod. I have nothing to do with all that. It's my page. Mity has informed me he posted his translation as a challenge to mine. What an idea! I don't want to challenge anyone. What's he doing on my page? I accept suggestions, clarify things for English speakers because Pushkin is not everyone's poet. I mind exclusively my own business. o:)
There was one guy on this site, who often wanted to get stars, but not from the sky. I think he left this site. His poetry was good and witty, but who needs him now, we have Mr. Mity! So, let's give him plenty stars, before he goes to far.
Yep, Anatoli, you and I have so many translations in a line, next to each other. And we have advised, suggested and you have corrected so many of my typos. And we have thanked each other. But never have we looked on it as a challenge or rivalry. Just another point of view, a different perception of poetry. But in someone's eye, we're a pair of roaches. I've never liked them anyway. :)
Дмитрий и ваши переводы кому-нибудь по нравятся.
Nadia, let us look at the intent - challenge isn't negative in this context - he just tried to lighten up the mood. Like you said, we frequently translate in parallel and use good suggestions from others (well, I do it when I can. Lol)
And stars, thanks, likes are very nice, but we know if our own translations or poems are any good.
So Mity, press on. And Sand rings shall rule this page!
There is something coming down,
Someone wants Nadia's crown!
И мальчики кровавые в глазах,
Is he a poet or a clown?
Written 1836.
