I love you

I love you for giving your heart to me
and trusting me with your pride
I love you for wanting me
and needing me by your side

I love you for the emotions
I never knew I had
I love you for making me smile
Whenever I feel sad

I love you for your thoughts of me
where I'm always on your mind
I love you for finding that part of me
I've never thought I'd find

I love you for the way you are
and for how you make me feel
But most of all: I love you
Because you know you're mine for real

I never new I had -> a little typo
for the way you're -> maybe rather "you are"?

Yes, true, it is not "nice" to put abbreviations in a poem Regular smile for your previous question before I it needs "that" So it will be

I love you for the emotions
[that] I never new I had (I've never imagine that I will have this)

It's rather a problem with "you're" sounding like an unfinished sentence. As far as I know, the abbreviation only works when followed by some adjective (or gerund). I suppose it's a matter of needing a following syllable for the stress to land, but I'm no phonetics savvy. For instance, "here you're" instead of "here you are" would sound pretty odd.
As for the typo, it's "(k)new" I had in mind Regular smile

With this sentence: "I love you for the way you are" what I want to say is that I love him with his faults and virtues. Without falsehoods. And yes you have reason, I didn't realize it, is: "knew" not "new". Merci beaucoup, monsieur Regular smile

Yes, I find your English quite clear. It was just a small matter of phonetics Regular smile
