The axles of my wagon

Because I don't grease my axles
they call me abandoned.
Because I don't grease my axles
they call me abandoned.

If I like how they sound,
why do I wanna grease them?
If I like how they sound,
why do I wanna grease them?

It's too boring
to follow and follow the smell.
It's too boring
to follow and follow the smell,
too long a walk
without anything to entertain me.

I don't need silence,
I do not have to think about.
I don't need silence,
I do not have to think about.

I had, but long ago,
now I no longer think anymore.
I had, but long ago,
now I no longer think anymore.

The axles of my wagon,
never am I going to grease them...

Hi Veve,
‘Los ejes de mi carreta’ is a sad song that shows the loneliness, bitterness and hopelessness of a hard working Argentinean peasant.
Thank you for translating it.
Pay attention that in English they use to write titles this way: The Axles of my Wagon
‘Abandonao’ usualy means: abandoned.
But here is meant to be understood as: lazy, negligent.
‘(yo) huello’ means: I smell.
But ‘la huella’ means: the track

That translation is just a botched job.
Huella: track
Yo huelo means " I smell". "yo huello" is just and absurd word...meanless in Spanish.
"they use to write" is a schoolboy mistake

"to follow and follow the smell" doesn´t make the least meaning in English
