The room like a chapter in Kruchenykh's1 hell.
Remember, I stroked your hands and hair
beyond this window, and my heart did swell.
 
Now we're sitting, our hearts encased in iron.
One more day and you'll drive me out may be with bawl.
My trembling hand won’t get for a whole eon
into the sleeve in the dreary hall.
 
I shall run away, throw myself on the street,
wild, loosing my head, excised with despair.
Please, don't do it, my dear, my sweet.
Let’s settle now our affair.
 
My love like a heavy burden, it seems.
It encumbers you wherever you run.
Let me weep out in the last scream
bitter test of the offended groan.
 
If a bull be exhausted by its toil
it goes away and sprawl in cold bay.
I have no sea except the love in your soul,
there's no way to beg your love for delay.
 
If an elephant is tired and needs some rest
it lies down like a king in a burning sand.
I have no sun except the love in your breast,
but where are you and who is holding your hand?
 
If you torment a poet like this, my dear,
he exchanges beloved for the money and fame,
but not a one sound makes glad my ear
except for the sound of your most beloved name.
 
I'm not gonna drink poison or jump off the stairs,
never trigger of pistol would set me free,
just because that's a fact, that except your gaze,
not a one blade of knife rules over me.

А чего название не от песни, а от стиха?
не претензия, просто выглядит странно)
может таки перевести название песни, а в коментах указать происхождение стиха?

Маяк - это, видимо, от Маяковского. И как мне его переводить: Mayak? Lighthouse?

ну, глупое-не глупое, но Васильев зачем-то его сделал таким. может быть как раз чтоб указать, что слова не его.
можно оставить транслитерацию, а в комментариях объяснить, что Маяк по русски переводится как Lighthouse, и является сокращением от фамилии поэта Маяковского)

но дело ваше конеш) я не настаиваю)

except for the sound of you favourite name:
1. you -> your (typo),
2. Favorite: actually it should be simply "beloved", otherwise the meaning is wrong or at least misleading (her name is HIS favorite one, unless of course she has more than one name and this one is HER favorite one)
I'm not gonna drink poisson - this one is hilarious - not all fish are poison, you know. Typo, I assume.

BTW: could you explain to me why one sentence is poetry:
Сегодня сидим вот, сердце в железе. - Mayakovski
and the other one "very bad/impossible Russian":
Теперь его сердце в морозе - from my translation of "Chess" by Chava Alberstein from Hebrew to Russian.
It seems to me, most of you fought me, tooth and nail, only because, unlike Mayakovski, most of you don't have an ounce of inspiration among you all, no matter how many original poems you publish. (Now I think I see why the poem about crows by Mary Nikolska seemed to me somehow connected to my experience here, and I really don't suggest I am playing the sun, never, but the crows did remind me of some unpleasant experience).
To cap it all, I found six (6) errors in English in this translation and a number of missing "a"s/"the"s too. If you want I'll send them to you in PM.

"Сердце в железе" - сказать можно, "Сердце в холоде" - можно, "Сердце остыло" - можно, "Сердце заморожено" - можно, "Сердце во льду" - можно, "Сердец застыло" - можно.
"Сердце в морозе" - нет.
Объяснить это невозможно. Не стоит ссылаться на Маяковского, называть нам злыми воронами и объявлять бездарностями без воображения, если мы имеем нахальство править Ваш неидеальный русский язык. Лучше скажите "спасибо".

Да, спасибо, буду благодарен за советы. У меня нет иллюзий относительно качества моего английского языка. Вы можете их высказать здесь или в личной переписке, как Вам удобнее. Мне в голову не придет в ответ обругать Вас, что Вы не Байрон.
