Did You Change your Mind?*

[SPOKEN:]
I once had a love, but one evening she told me: "I don't love you anymore",
And I had to leave, but to my surprise...when I found out

Did you change your mind?, you're going to cry over me, when I'm far away from you
Did you change your mind? you were going to miss my kisses,
When you're far away from me
You'll live, thinking about the good times, of the love that I gave you
You'll cry, and you'll cry, thinking about how I'll never ever, come back to you

[SPOKEN:]1
This is dedicated to all the broken hearts [out there],
To the guys in the Costa Azul2 group
And to Cesar Escobedo's group who is also a pelado3 from Matamoros4

You'll cry, and you'll suffer, thinking of me
You'll live, you'll remember, thinking that I'll never come back
You'll cry, and you'll suffer, thinking of me
You'll live, you'll remember, thinking that I'll never come back

  • 1. This is basically a shout out, nothing really to do with the song, but I translated it anyway.
  • 2. Costa Azul is a Mexican musical group that accompanied Rigo Tovar from the 70's to the 90's.
  • 3. I didn't translate this word because it's slang, and it means several things depending on what part of Latin American you're asking. It can either mean 'kid' (not in the sense that he's an actual child), or someone who is rude or ill-mannered, some will even say it as 'loser' or 'low-life'. In the song, Tovar says this in a playful manner though.
  • 4. A city in Tamaulipas, Mexico.
