The lads told me
1. | Песня о друге (Pesnya o druge) |
2. | Кони привередливые (Koni priveredlivye) |
3. | Дорогая передача!... (Dorogaya peredacha!...) |
И пожалуйста, проверяйте качество оригинала - не всегда есть время выискивать и исправлять очепятки вроде "дюдям" ;)
Please write to me in English or German, that would be easier for me. But I thank you very much all the same for your information. I shall try to work on it. I am always very thankful for comments and recomandations and I am happy if one reads my translation with or without a thank you.
I don't know where you found "дудям" and it is "опечатки" а не "очепятки"! But thank you all the same!
For some odd reason I was thinking that you are a russian speaker (apparently one of the reasons is that you didn't mention your languages in profile) :) That's why I was joking, indeed. And all the typos were corrected by me (you can see this in the author's information under the original.)
Missed one:
Не прошу себе в жизни ;)
Thank you very much for the interest you take in my translations. It is true I am not a Russian speaker, though I try very hard to understand and translate Russian, I like this language!
Hast du fein gemacht, und ja: auch ich bin kein Muttersprachler, obschon ich Einiges auf Russisch verstehen kann. Der geschriebene Text weicht übrigens zweimal geringfügig vom gesungenen ab, bin leider zur Zeit nicht in Muße, dir diese Zeilen zu schicken (mangels kyrillischer Tastatur). lg, Ove :)
Наколка - tattoo, I am not sure why it’s ‘a coup’ in your translation? - UPD - it’s not tattoo here, but still, ‘coup’ doesn’t work here
It doen't matter, not to sleep! - I go - myself, I am not happy: —> Typo and ‘not to sleep’ - it’s about people who will need to get up for work next morning :)
Oh, I see, so it’s a criminal slang, something like ‘they gave me a tip’, got it, thanks
Sleeps. At running space. It doesn't matter if they won't sleep.
They gave me a tip. That what I would use and it exactly what it means and it's not a slang. Coup doesn't suit in that case.
LOL, ‘наколка’ is not a slang in Odessa :)
You are right it was never a slang in Odessa, but you're missing the point. To give a tip is not a slang. I can give a tip which horse might win in the races.
There are so many tips I can give you. I can tip a waiter in the restaurant, but it's all together something else.
I’ve never said ‘tip’ is a slang :) ‘наколка’ is, for the rest of the population :)
*thumbs_up*
You can always give somebody a hint if you have an idea (or a clue) ;)
Hint and tip are very different.
Oh, yeah:)
Thank you for sharing your wisdom! :) Please try and understand that Russian is a foreign language to me as well as English. So, translating from one into the other is extremely hard for my self, especially since my Russian has become a bit "rusty" over the last 3 decades. Cheers, Ove
We understand and we never criticize :). Just giving friendly advices:) I personally admire you, guys, for taking an interest in Russian language - this is not an easy one :)
Thank you! Well, you may criticize me because I always understand critcism as something positive as long as it helps some-one to improve her/his skills. Would you be so kind and read my translations to a few songs by Аркона? Those took a lot of hard work, several hours of looking for the right words thoroughly. I'd be very grateful if you could take the time to read them, and give me some advice if necessary. :)
Сомневаюсь, что англичане поймут перевод первой строчки. Напишите хотя бы gave me advice.
"Сказать про наколку" - это даже по-русски звучит неправильно. Наколку дают, а не говорят о ней.
