I guess you're right. It's rather sad that people dont notice how carefully crafted it is - they have to be really unaware of what's going on to leave out a triplet. Interestingly, Ramón Buckley's Spanish translation of the two Alice books (published 2012) manages to retain the first letter of each line of this poem as it was in the original. I've seen that in French versions too. given that translators can dealwith that level of detail, it's rather shocking that someone reading it in his own language didn't notice it.

The source lyrics have been updated. Please review your translation The update added the fourth triplet, which had for some reason been omitted. As the first characters of the 21 lines spell the name "ALICE PLEASANCE LIDDELL" (and that was done deliberately by Carroll, it was not an accident) the poem was visibly incomplete without the fouth triplet.
