Remember when you told me
That you would marry me
Without money or a house
Remember when you loved me
Even though I wasn't of your religion
Remember how we were
Remember when your mother
Caught me sleeping in your bed
And told me to forget about you
So we agreed to stay like that
Without roles or talks
Without neckties or morning chats
Without millions
Without dresses
You took my hand and promised me a revolution
How could you forget, how could you forget me?
You combed my hair
And sent me off
Comb me the way you comb yourself
Remember when you told me that you intend to leave me
Without money or a house

Instead of "comb me the way you comb yourself" (that doesn't really work at all, but if you had to force it then the line would use متل ما "like how" instead of كيف "how?") it's just "how you comb me!" or "how could you comb me?". The line splits off in the middle, repeating "comb" twice, for poetic effect, so what it literally says is just "how you comb comb me!" or "how could you comb comb me?"
The morning chats could also be interpreted as "Wedding" as some Arab weddings have a specific day called al Subhiyya or the morning where they see the newlyweds the day after the formal ceremony. It brings in the cravat part in and I think it fits in nicely
