Sharon (Milonga Sentimental) lyrics

Bin viele Meilen gegangen
Auf dem langen Weg hierher.
Der Abend hat angefangen,
Und die Beine werden schwer.

Gib mir deinen besten Wein,
Und ich trink’ mich daran satt.
Ich still’ meinen großen Hunger,
Bis ich glücklich bin und matt.

Varón, pa’ quererte mucho,
varón, pa’ desearte bien,
varón, pa’ olvidar agravios,
porque ya te perdoné.

Sharon, ganz nah am Feuer,
Sharon, mach uns zwei ein Bett,
Sharon, und ich geb’ dir mehr
Als dir jeder gab vorher.

Hab’ viele Menschen gesehen
Und war überall allein,
Kam immer nur, um zu gehen,
Wollte nie gebunden sein.

Ich wollt’ keinen Tag versäumen,
Hab’ geweint und hab’ gelacht;
Manchmal in meinen Träumen
Hab’ ich auch an dich gedacht.

Varón, pa' quererte mucho
Varón, pa' desearte bien
Varón, pa' olvidar agravios
Porque ya te perdoné.

Sharon, ganz nah am Feuer,
Sharon, mach uns zwei ein Bett,
Sharon, und ich geb’ dir mehr
Als dir jeder gab vorher.

Du, lass alle Stimmen liegen
Ganz um meine Melodie
Und lass deine Haare fliegen
und sei1meine Fantasie.

Und schau mir in die Augen,
Schließ die Tür von innen ab!
Wir trinken von meiner Sehsucht,
Bis wir glücklich sind und matt.

Ay, varón, pa’ quererte mucho,
varón pa’ quererte bien,
varón pa’ que tu me quieras,
varón para ti mujer. (x2)

Ay, varón, varón, varón, varón,
varón pa’ quererte bien,
varón pa’ que tu me quieras,
varón para ti mujer. (x3)

  • 1. I hear "sein", but it's grammatically wrong and it wouldn't make sense here.

This is only the part of the lyrics, so please don't translate this song.

I'll add the missing stanzas later. First I have to transcribe them.

I have finally corrected the lyrics, because two lines were different than in the song that Julio Iglesias sang, and transcribed the missing part. I also added the punctuation. I hope it should be fine now.

Thank you Dhani for submitting the first part that was very difficult to transcribe because of a bad Julio’s German pronunciation.

I based on the CD that I have and sadly it looks like there’s neither video nor mp3 on the net available. The music is exactly the same as in “Milonga Sentimental”.

I tried to correct the lyrics but without an audio it is difficult.
"Kam immer nur abzugehen," (stanza 5) f. e. makes no sense.
"Du, lass alle Stimmen liegen
Ganz um meine Melodie
Und lass deine Haare fliegen
und sei meine Fantasie." sounds strange.

There are no lyrics available and no recordings on the net. I have the CD and I can make an mp3 and send it to you. A long time ago I tried to transcribe it and I gave up. Later Dhani posted the first part of the lyric, which was the most difficult, and I added the rest, but Julio's pronunciation was so funny that I wasn't able to do anything more with it.

I listened once again and I hear:

1. Sharon, und ich gib dir mehr.

2. Kam immer nur abzugehen - or - aufzugehen (?).

3. Anschau mir in die Auge (?).

The album is Zärtlichkeiten (1981), but this song was added only later on a special edition version.

Maybe it is "Kam immer nur, um zu gehen"? This would make sense.

CoopysnoopyCoopysnoopy    月, 26/02/2018 - 22:23

Neither "Kam immer nur abzugehen" nor "Kam immer nur aufzugehen" is German.

AldefinaAldefina    月, 26/02/2018 - 22:34

I know that, but that's what I hear. It can be (with a lot of imagination) also "Kam immer nur um zu gehen".

And with the Spanish too. It was the only way how to translate it so that it made sense. Still I hear a letter "a" at the beginning. Maybe Julio thought it was written in English? ;)
