I rated the translation two stars as It seems to be little better than one from Google translate. It was not to do with his translations. His suggestions were posted 18 months ago so I don't think they will be taken into account.

I've been following Sweet Latina's translations for more than a year, and I've rated and left suggestions/corrections in her Spanish to English translations. Yes, mistakes like these are common for her; but she's a fluent Spanish speaker and I'm certain of her abilities as a translator. I know her work, nothing she's submitted is comparable to a translation on GT. At best, this deserves 3 stars for effort, maybe 4 if she makes corrections. I'll send her a PM, she was just only yesterday; so she can come back to this translation and make corrections. For all we know, she doesn't have a subscription with notifications for this translation, I know I unsubscribe to things a lot and it takes a while for me to find things.
And no offense to you, but are you a native/fluent/studied speaker of either languages? I don't want you to feel attacked, but that raises flags when someone gives low ratings, just joined and hasn't set up their languages as of yet or has made any contributions to this site.

I am sorry if I offened you or Sweet Latina. I just gave my honest opinion that this translation, seems insufficient to publish. It seems very close to GT. With evfokas's suggestions It would be almost perfect. I know both languages quite well. There should be no flags. The option to rate a translation is there and I gave my honest opinion, and also my reasons.

I personally agree with you, simongerardobrien. I also don't think you have to be a fluent speaker in both languages to read a translation and think, "This doesn't flow quite right in English".
For example, these lines just sound really awkward in English:
'When night arrives there's an effect and time stood'
'Dance at night and at day'
Overall, she has done a good job I think. But just a few sentences I think could be tweaked, just as evfokas has suggested. :)

I saw that a fellow mod made a comment on this, and I took a look because I know Sweet Latina's work, and I wasn't sure what the issue was until I saw about the rating. Yes, we usually do this kind of process first; so I took all the steps before doing anything else. I respect everyone's opinions on here, I've already been accused of being "aggressive" about things like this, so I'm trying to remain as neutral as I can be, but still give my opinion. Cool translation! The song is very catchy, although some of the Spanish parts are confusing me, mainly this part:
"Fusión internacional baila que trae alegría
Venga que siga la fiesta de noche y de día"
Your English translation made it a bit clearer to me, but I'm thrown off between the indicative being used in the first line and then the subjunctive used in the second. I see that your native tongue is Spanish, so do you think that "baila que trae alegría" could be understood as "Those who dance have joy" (i.e., a general statement), therefore making "Venga que siga la fiesta de noche y de día" a wishful request of "Come (you) who follows the party day in and day out"?
Or, is "venga" and "siga" not considered subjunctive in some countries? I was also thinking this could be a possibility, and if this is true, then it could be understood as "Come on, 'cause the party continues day in and day out." I'm only familiar with Mexican-Spanish, and so if I read the second option, I'd translate it to "Ven, 'que sigue la fiesta..."
