Dear Mr. President Putin

Dear Mr. President
Come take a walk with me

Let's pretend
We're just two people
And you're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions
If we can speak honestly

What do you feel
When you see all these people in the streets
Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep?
And what do you feel when you look in the mirror?
Are you proud?

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?
And how do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye?
And tell me why...

Dear Mr. President,
Are you a lonely boy?
Are you a spoiled boy?
How can you say no one is left behind?
We're not dumb and we're not blind
We all sit in your cells
While you pave the roads to hell

What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away?
And what kind of man thinks marriage is not right if you are gay?
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
Does she only talk?
Or she copies it all?

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?
And how do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye?

How do you sleep at night?
How do you walk with your head held high?

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
Enola Gay

Enola Gay, (Annotation 20418)
you should have stayed at home yesterday.
Aha, words can’t describe
the feeling and the way you lied.

These games you play,
they’re gonna end in more than tears someday. (Annotation 20441)
Aha, Enola Gay,
it shouldn’t ever have to end this way.

It’s 8:15,
and that’s the time that it’s always been;
we got your message on the radio:
conditions normal and you’re coming home.

Enola Gay,
is mother proud of Little Boy today?
Aha, this kiss you give,
it’s never ever gonna fade away.

Enola Gay,
it shouldn’t ever have to end this way.
Aha, Enola Gay,
it shouldn’t fade in our dreams away.

It’s 8:15,
and that’s the time that it’s always been;
we got your message on the radio:
conditions normal and you’re coming home.

Enola Gay,
is mother proud of Little Boy today?
Aha, this kiss you give,
it’s never ever gonna fade away.

Enola Gay,
Enola Gay is the name of the US aircraft that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. The bomb was dropped on 6 August 1945 at 8:15 in the morning (local time). The plane was named after Enola Gay Tibbets, the mother of the pilot. Little Boy was the bomb’s nickname. The bombing killed about 100.000 civilians.

''These games you play, they’re gonna end in more than tears someday:''

trendy again, because this matches with the coming third, nuclear this time, world war because of a 21st-century dictator, not from the west but from the east, and the only difference between them is that there is the lack of a mustache and of hair

http://www.eoht.info/page/Elective%20affinity

In chemistry, elective affinity, a variant of “affinity”, was a term used, especially in the 18th century, to define a tendency of a chemical species to “elect” to the unit with one chemical entity in preference to that of another. [1] The modern variation is "chemical affinity".

In 1620, English scientific philosopher Francis Bacon developed theories on chemical affinity to explain the inherent nature of motion and its causes. Bacon reasoned that ‘dispute and friendship are the spurs to motion in nature and the keys to her works.’ [5] Bacon defined chemical affinity as such: [6]

“It is certain that all bodies whatsoever, though they have no sense, yet they have perception; for when one body is applied to another, there is a kind of election to embrace that which is agreeable and to exclude or expel that which is ingrate; and whether the body is alterant or altered, evermore perception precedeth operation; for else all bodies would be like one to another.”

Plot

The novel (1809) by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
The novel often described as Goethe's best and at the same time his most enigmatic, combines elements of Weimar Classicism, such as the plot layout as a scientific parable, with an opposing tendency towards Romanticism.
The term “elective affinities” was originally a scientific term from chemistry, once widely used by scientists such as Robert Boyle, Isaac Newton, and Antoine Lavoisier, at first to describe exothermic chemical reactions and later to refer to chemical reactions in which one ion would displace another.
Goethe applied this understanding from physical chemistry as a metaphor for human passions supposedly being governed or regulated by such laws of chemical affinity and examined whether the laws of chemistry somehow undermine or uphold the institution of marriage, as well as other human social relations.

Early in the 19th century, Edward and Carlotta, in love 20 years ago, find each other and marry. After a year's bliss at his Tuscan villa, Edward begs to invite Otto, an architect, and friend, to join them. She has forebodings of disaster but relents. Otto arrives, and to balance the dynamics, Carlotta invites her teenage godchild Ottilia to join them. Ottilia stirs Edward, Otto and Carlotta are attracted to each other, and these longings produce in Edward and Carlotta a night of passion that results in pregnancy. Otto leaves for Venice, Edward leaves for war, and a baby looking like Otto and Ottilia is born. Can anything be put right? Can the four return to their initial happiness?

Commander in Chief

Commander in Chief1

Were you ever taught when you were young?
If you mess with things selfishly, they're bound to come undone?
I'm not the only one
That's been affected and resented every story you've spun, and I'm a lucky one

'Cause there are people worse off that have suffered enough
Haven't they suffered enough?
But you can't get enough of shutting down systems for personal gain
Fighting fires with flayers and praying for rain
Do you get off in pain?
We're not pawns in your game

Commander in Chief, honestly,
If I did the things you do, I couldn't sleep
Seriously, do you even know the truth?
We're in a state of crisis, people are dying2
While you line your pockets deep

Commander in Chief
How does it feel to still be able to breathe?
We were taught when we were young
If we fight for what's right, there won't be justice for just some
Won't give up, stand our ground
We'll be in the streets while you're bunkering down
Loud and proud, best believe
We'll still take a knee while you're…3

Commander in Chief, honestly
If I did the things you do, I couldn't sleep
Seriously, do you even know the truth?
We're in a state of crisis, people are dying
While you line your pockets deep

Commander in Chief
How does it feel to still be able to breathe?4

Breathe
Be able to breathe

Won't give up, stand our ground
We'll be in the streets while you're bunkering down5
Won't give up, stand our ground
We'll be in the streets while you're…

Commander in Chief, honestly
If I did the things you do, I couldn't sleep
Seriously, do you even know the truth?
We're in a state of crisis, people are dying
While you line your pockets deep

Commander in Chief
How does it feel to still be able to breathe?
Able to breathe

1''Commander in chief'' (President Trump) Αρχηγέ του Γενικού Επιτελείου (President Trump)

2'' We're in a state of crisis, people are dying'' (Because of the Covids epidemic outbreak in the U.S.A. 225.000 people died). Περνάμε μια περίοδο κρίσης οι άνθρωποι πεθαίνουν (επιδημία Covids στην Αμερική με 225.000 θανάτους).

3'' We'll still take a knee while you're…'' Kneeling on one knee instead of standing, when singing the hymn for a cause has become a symbol of protest against racial injustice.

4'' How does it feel to still be able to breathe?'' This motto was adopted by the protest movement of Black Lives Matter for the first time in 2014 when it was said by Eric Garner before he was murdered by asphyxiation by a policeman. It came back in 2020, after the death of George Floyd, for whom Donald Trump never expressed a word of remorse or condemnation of the attackers.

5'' We'll be in the streets while you're bunkering down.'' During the protest that broke out after the murder of George Floyd, Donald Trump was hiding sheltered in the bunker of the White House because he was afraid for his safety when the protestors smashed the gates of White House.

Putin's Eve Of Destruction

A remake of the original tune that Barry McGuire made famous in the 60s.

Originally a protest song about voting, I re-wrote the lyrics to fit the current situation in Ukraine.
