Varnish

I apply the varnish
I remove it I apply the varnish
I show it off and then I wipe it off
It’s not bad I don’t know if it’s pretty

And the hair
I plait it I smooth it
I put it up I fold it a little
Or I leave it I don’t know it that’s better

Mirror if you dare
Tell me something
Answer me when I'm talking to you
Go on go on
Mirror if you dare
Tell me something
Answer me when I'm taking to you
Go on, go on

Where is the blusher
On my skin on my forehead at random
Some is needed but not too much too much blusher
No not too much otherwise that looks odd
It’s mascara
That I must put on my eyes on my eyelashes
But maybe not both I’m stupid
Yes perhaps it’s awful the mascara

Mirror if you dare
Tell me something
Answer me when I'm talking to you
Go on go on
Mirror if you dare
Tell me something
Answer me when I'm talking to you
Go on, go on

Frankly you’re no fun
No you’re never happy
You never tell me that I look nice
Frankly you’ve been no fun
All the time I’ve been waiting for you
I look a right state now

Right the hair
There’s some black there’s some blond there’s some blue
I want to know if it’s long if it’s short
I want to know if it's the right the right bow
I look beautiful in Rimmel
Or I’m pale or I’m mad I’m which
Everything's blurry behind my makeup
Underneath I no longer see my face

Mirror if you dare
Tell me something
Answer me when I'm talking to you
Go on go on
Mirror if you dare
Tell me something
Answer me when I'm talking to you
Go on, go on

Réponds-moi quand j’te cause -> that's quasi-idiomatic.
It's a rude way of forcing someone to talk. The kind of line you might hear just before fists start flying Regular smile

j’ai plus l’air de rien -> I look like a mess (now)

Ah I see - changing it to "when I'm taking to you" gives it the same combative sense!

I completely misunderstood that but get it now...you see where I was going with "l'air de rien" - as in "Il le fait l'air de rien"

:-)

Yep, another banana peel out of French's fat bag of tricks.
