Ваш перевод очень дословный и не передаёт смысла и значения песни.
С сожалению, это также относится к вашим другим переводам (по крайней мере - те, которые я прочитала).

Я вам даю вам дружеский совет - удалите ваши авторские комментарии по поводу того, что всё остальные переводы на английский “are garbage”. If they bother you so much, send them a PM.

А работает это просто, Ваня. В песне есть слова и есть смысл. Не достаточно перевести слова, нужно ещё и смысл передать, а это не всегда просто.

There are few grammatical errors, but I think it is ridiculous to tell him he should not tackle the translation. Sweetness, I found Ivan's submitters comments rude not yours. I did think it was unfair to say his translation is awful - it just needs a bit more work. Unfortunately, I'm working all weekend, but I'd have sent PM and helped Ivan along rather than just ridicule. Btw, I experienced one of those nights in 8th grade when KGB came and turned our apartment inside out, arrested my father... Four days later he was back all grey... Small mistake...

Это, кстати, хороший вопрос: что имел в виду Цой. Давайте помедитируем. Крыши очевидно физически не дрожат, это поэтический образ. Видимо, груз прожитых дней давит на жителей этих домов. А может быть старые крыши просто разваливаются. Мне больше нравится второй вариант. Есть иные интерпретации?
В 6 переводах из 8 использован tremble (уже поэтому стоит поискать другой глагол), в одном shake (это как задницей трясти или смешивать коктейль), а Брат выдал конвульсии.

А я Вас ни к чему не побуждаю. Я сам не очень понимаю, что имел в виду Цой. А если не понимаешь, если нет интерпретации, то переводить бесполезно, ничего не выйдет. А значит и комментировать чужие переводы не стоит.

City shoots at night shot of lights, -- night is being shot so try to avoid shoots shot. I'll let you come up with something better.

My problem is not about physiology, but about syntax, "Тем" being normally the dative of "тот" (= to the one, who..." ?) That's why I suggest "to those" (or : "to the one"). But I may be mistaken.

I can't grasp exactly what the song is alluding to, but I must say that it seems rather poetic and beautiful. I read the French translation and I found it nice and impressive. As I understand it, there is an opposition between the ones who, having nothing to expect, sit on their horses and start riding, and others who prefer going to bed and sleep. What is it about, in case there would be some precise thema, I have no idea, perhaps it's simply fancying. But it's interesting. I think there are still several errors in the English translation, for example in the 2nd stanza ("I've been waiting for this time...").

You had to live in 90’s in the Soviet Union to understand what it means :). Check Brat’s translation (#7), maybe it will make it a bit clearer to you. And this translation - even the grammar errors pointed have not been fixed, no saying about the meaning. Do not rely on this one ;)

This song has many hidden meanings. The life was hard in USSR ( under the burden of the days). There is God somewhere in the sky, but the night (the regime) is stronger. Most of the people ( like sheep) kneel down to the authorities( they go sleep) . But some people can see, that there is nothing to wait for them. And they rebel(get on their horse and ride to freedom). But beware of the neighbors, they don't want to make some waves. Those who do not want to wait, they are saved, from that deep sleep. At least they are trying to change things, those riders. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is what this song means to me.
