It Hurts so Much, Eddie

Here I am, my bones all hurting
In a hot city in Arabia
It's been hard to make a living
The work has hardened and burned my hands
When I get to rest, I always find myself thinking
Of the day I can finally come back
I've given up my habits, drinking, gambling, and smoking
Till I save up what I need, I will endure

It hurts so much, Eddie
To see what fate has brought me
It hurts so much, Eddie
Please tell me what I should do

I was delighted to see my son wrote to me
But that soon turned to shock, and I began to cry
"Dad, come home, be quick
Mom is with someone else, she's been cheating on you"

It hurts so much, Eddie
To see what fate has brought me
It hurts so much, Eddie
Please tell me what I should do

So I went back home, it was already dark out
My two children watched me approach from afar
Their eyes were bloodshot and drowsy
In their hands, I spotted marijuana
I could tell they were hurting, I wondered why
I know I have two of my own, but why is there a third now?
My beloved wife, she'd been with someone else
As for what's become of us, I have all the money

It hurts so much, Eddie
To see what fate has brought me
It hurts so much, Eddie
Please tell me what I should do

It hurts so much, Eddie
To see what fate has brought me
It hurts so much, Eddie
Please tell me what I should do

Bedankt!

Hello [@sanhyun], here are some corrections although the translation could be different depending on what you want to do with this translation

"my bones all aching" should be "working".
"nagbabanat ng buto" literally means "stretching the bone" but in here it's used figuratively.

"Under the heat of an Arabian city" should be "In a hot city in an Arabian country"

"It's been hard to make a living" this line is ok since "kumita ng pera" means "earn money"

"Even though I've worked before, my hands are still burning" this line should be "Your hand will thicken, your color will be burned too". "thicken" here is quite literally having callouses from working.

"I always dream" can work though "iniisip" is "thinking"

"Of the day I can finally come back" can be "of the day passing by quickly so i can come back"

"I've given up my habits, drinking, gambling, and smoking". I guess this is ok since the actual translation is "stopped my vices"

"Till I save up what I need, I will endure" this one should be "So I can save up, I'll just endure"

"To see what fate has brought me" in a way this could work since it means "What happened to my life"

These are just some of the corrections, you should consider. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply, Ive been a bit busy these few days.. Some parts to me sounded a bit weird if they were translated directly, and I wasn't completely sure how to translate the hand part into English

Maramin salamat C:

I see. Well, as I've said you can just consider them since, in a way, we can translate the song differently without it losing too much of its meaning. Have fun translating.
