What I Love

Versions: #1#2
I can do without happiness.
Within it, it brings misfortune, 1
[And] I must destroy it.
I will discern what I love.

That I'm glad I'm not seen,
No!

What I love is that I don't love. 2
I wouldn't enjoy it if it wasn't so
I don't look forward to being happy
All I know is I'll regret it.

That I'm glad I'm not seen,
Whoever would love me would be around me.

What I love,
Will be rotten.
What I love,
Must be put down.
It must be put down.

So I kept myself without harm,
I mustn't love,
That way I wouldn't suffer (no!)
And my heart wouldn't break.

That I'm glad I'm not seen,
Not!

What I love,
Will be rotten.
What I love,
Must be put down.
It must be put down.

Happiness and Joy brings torment,
For everything beautiful, there is a price,
Yeah.

What I love,
Will be rotten. 3
What I love,
Must be put down.
It must be put down.

That is what I love.

  • 1. Objetively this was a bit of a puzzle to figure out how to order this line.
  • 2. We're going poetic here boys. This is what happens when life gives you the literal line "I love not that I what love."
  • 3. I had "Spoiled" but the connotation would be as-in treating in excess, when rotting is a better term to use.
Bedankt!

This is right out of the depression handbook. It's just one big spiral of pain because happiness is uncertain : depression is forever.
